Not only does the food tastes amazing, but the customer service is also very admirable. Very welcoming, genuine caring interaction and smiles! You will always leave feeling like you have been at home as the customer service goes above and beyond. They also do really value their customers as they sometimes treat you with a cup of tea if you mention you are cold, for example. I will always come back here in a heart beat! We've been regular customers of this amazing Ethiopian restaurant since day one. It has a really welcoming warm vibe. The interior makes you feel like home. We are always met with a smile and served delicious authentic dishes. My personal preference is of course Kitfo, Chacha and Tibs. Vegetarian options are also very yummy.
We enjoyed the most wonderful dinner at Mesob. Located on the third floor in Osborne Village it is off the beaten track but absolutely worth the effort to get there. Our dinners both appetizers and main course were freshly made by the lovely owner and tasted exceptional. I highly recommend this restaurant .

I’ve been a longtime fan of Ethiopian cuisine and have sampled most, if not all, the local spots Winnipeg has to offer (Kokeb being my absolute favourite). However, after trying Mesob for the first time this evening, I can say with full certainty that I have a new #1. The decor is striking, warm, and inviting,. Authentic African pieces shipped to Winnipeg by the owner directly from her native homeland greet you on all sides when you first step into this charming restaurant in the heart of Osborne Village. It’s clean, bright (but not *too* bright), friendly, vibrant, and unique with plenty of booths, tables, and chairs to choose from. The staff is extremely friendly, professional, helpful, and knowledgeable should you be new to the myriad of delicious tastes Ethiopian food has to offer. Their menu features Italian cuisine as well, prepped by a chef who had been trained in Italy. Very cool. My mom had Chicken Alfredo and LOVED it, but had to take a good portion of it home because she was so full. My partner and I ordered the Mesob combo with Samosas and Ethiopian tea and left not one single crumb behind. Our meal was MAGNIFICENT!!! If you’re looking for great Ethiopian or Italian food in Winnipeg, look no further. Mesob is the spot! We will be coming back.
Best Ethiopian food in Winnipeg!The atmosphere in there feels very homey and professional. It was lovely talking to the staff who are very “VERY” hospitable, probably the most I have even encountered in a restaurant and it feels so genuine. Bless their hearts and food. Definitely recommend. Had the vegetarian combo, samosas, and coffee. 20/10!
My daughter and I recently enjoyed our first meal at Mesob, and it won't be our last! The food was incredibly flavourful with service that was friendly and personal. Rebecca is not only an amazing cook, but she's a great guide to Ethiopian cuisine for a novice such as myself. If you haven't tried Ethiopian food before, or if you are a committed consumer...definitely put Mesob on your list of "must try" restaurants.

This restaurant is simply the most Authentic Ethiopian restaurant in winnipeg right now. Made me feel Nostalgic. The Decor, Music and scent of the restaurant reminds me of back home. Presentation of the food was on point. Food arrived hot and was very delicious. Food is reasonably priced. We were served by the owner, she was very polite and welcoming. Their traditional Ethiopian Coffee was some of the best I have ever had. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic Ethiopian cuisine experience.
