We came here recommended by two different people. Unfortunately what they didnt tell us was how poor the service is and how patchy the food can be. Stick to chicken and burgers and you'll be fine, anything else is a risk. One friend ordered a BLT and it was utterly inedible. Another friend ordered shrimp and it came late and was then covered in horrible batter and in a disgusting seven islands style sauce for some reason. Utterly inedible again. I had fish and chips and they were great, and so was the chicken dish. The service needs to pick up too. Know the menu properly and what beers you have as a minimum and serve the food together.
Had dinner tonight with a friend. Service was great and friendly, very accommodating. Food was delicious for all of us. Happy with the drinks as well. Ended up buying a skull glass that drinks were served in!! Had the avocado appetizer and steak bites, chicken and waffle and the roadhouse burger!
We arrived about 1130 for lunch. It was a lovely day so we chose to be seated on the patio. Our server was very attentive at first, likely because we had beat the lunch rush. He brought us water and we ordered appetizers- my companion decided on the poutine and I had the French Onion Soup-you don't see this as often as you used to and I had been craving it for some time.The appetizers arrived in short order but my heavens- the poutine was a meal in itself- not sure why you'd include this in the appetizer menu. A bit of a goof if you ask me. The soup was very good- if a little salty but I enjoyed it thoroughly. A good deal of time passed before the server came back to check after first bites.The server came again to take our lunch order. I was quite full from the soup and the accompanying two garlic toast points that came with it so I opted for the pound of hot wings which were lighter that the lunch options. My companion had been so overwhelmed by the poutine they the declined to order something for lunch. I would recommend putting the poutine on the main menu and if they wish to have it as an appetizer half or third the portion. You missed out on adding another order to the bill as a result.The wings came and they were classic hot wings- crispy and with a sauce that was vinegary and with just the right amount of heat.By now the patio was fairly busy and it took two requests for the cheque but we did tip 20% on the bill. It was a good experience outside of the massive poutine appetizer. Please consider making the appetizer portion much smaller or suggesting to the customer that it should be shared between two or three diners if you intend to sample it as an appetizer.We will be back but I'm hoping the staff will be more knowledgeable when diners ask for dishes that don't make sense for the size or the meal.
Staff is amazing from hosts to servers and manager! Amazing!!! Now the food is something else! Their avocado bites are the best thing since sliced bread! And bread pudding is an explosion of flavour and texture sooo good! And finally the portions are generous. Most plates can be shared! Great place quality vs price! I would highly recommend!
My husband and I were there for lunch with another couple today we found everything very very good. Food was excellent. Table was excellent. Prices were good.portions were excellent. Service was good. The food and service of it was awesome! Tables and bathrooms and overall cleanliness were superb. I would like to advise the servers to not consistently interupt conversations to ask about bringing the boll, and to take away plates almost immediately after eating. Plates and bills can wait for a bit. Conversations between people would haven't met in a long time, cannot. Overall, for our first experience, we'll worth a visit!
Fantastic experience. Our waitress KYM was amazing at what she does. Great sense of humor, efficient and knowledgeable. We had the beef braised tacos for taco week ( which we had no clue it was taco week) were amazing. They really need to add that to their regular menu!!! I noticed a few dudes no longer on their menu and nothing much else grabbed me but these tacos Omg wow! So good!
We met our friends at Junction and had a wonderful time, the service by Meighan was fantastic, she was awesome, funny and we needed for nothing. The food was fabulous, we all had something different and every one was happy. We would definitely go back and would definitely sit in Meighan's section. Thank you Meighan and Junction 59
Our server Meighan was excellent , very attentive , lots of suggestions asked if there was an occasion happening . It was my husband and my birthdays . I had the cheese burger this time , tons of fries , husband had the Buffalo chicken burger excellent as well, friend had chicken fingers , friend had Chicken Blt , other friend Steak sandwich. Everything was excellent ! Then we were asked what dessert we’d like for our birthdays , we chose pecan pie, bread pudding both topped with ice cream ! Well we tried to put a dent in them with the 5 of us , we took them home . Such a nice touch from the server and restaurant, thank you for making our day so fun . This was our 5 th visit there , we’ll keep going back . Thank you
I have been to to this restaurant about 4 times. Very happy with the food and service until today. I order the same thing every time. Today I decided to have the Baja Tacos in a lettuce boat. My friend had them in the tortilla. We were both shocked at the presentation and the wee bit of food we received for $16. I appreciate costs going up but not serving sizes getting smaller and absolutely no time with presentation. I would rather pay more for the same amount of food. So disappointed.
First time dining in this restaurant and inside was modern and very clean. Friendly staff. The Hot Rock Fajita dish was a crowd pleaser as it was exciting and different from the average meal. Although this dish was ordered for one person, it could be easily shared amongst two or three. I would recommend this restaurant and this dish to others.
