This was a re-visit from a previous undesired visit and I have to say it was phenomenal. My wife and I were celebrating our 5th anniversary and this was just a perfect night. Food was exceptional and the service was top notch. So happy we got to experience this great evening.
Hy's was good but not great. There were a lot of little slips with the service level - initially sending us to the wrong table, omitting one of our appetizers that was then served with the mains, being asked for condiments but forgetting to bring them, not being attentive with wine service, etc. Generally forgivable on their own, but not expected in a premium restaurant with a bill north of $400 for two. The food quality was quite good, the oysters Rockefeller were delicious. We left satisfied but not delighted. There are better places in town for that price.
The food was awesome For the most part. Cheese toast is a must, the Caesar salad is amazing also. Would definitely recommend for a nice time out!
Unfortunately our dining experience was not a positive one. Ordered escargots, arrived cool to warm and garlic butter not very flavorful. Filet and Caesar salad hood, prawns and scallops only okay.
Have visited their lounge many times and always find myself wanting to return. The service has always been great, and they are attentive to your needs. One time they noticed a steak sandwich was not cooked exactly as I ordered it and asked if I wanted it redone. I was completely OK with it and had not even noticed it myself. The manager visited me and gave me a card to use on my next visit. Definitely way exceeded my expectations! Cool drink specials each week…don’t forget to ask about them!
Brought my date to Hyâs for her 30th Birthday; needless to say, she was not disappointed and and it a great time all together
We returned two weeks following birthday celebration upended by fire in concourse that caused closure. Staff went out of their way to make me feel special! Food was outstanding. Feeling grateful.
I had clients fly in I called made sure your establishment was open, made reservations and showed up with my guests to find the doors locked on Tuesday July 26th? Embarrassing start to my clients first impression of Winnipeg when Iâm trying to seal a business deal. Update your voicemail if your closed
