Incredible service. Amazing ambiance. Food is to die for.Was first time munching Ethiopian cuisine and I am now hooked for life. This place is a hidden gem that requires a visit if you like incredible food. The nicest, most hardworking people working there as well. Can’t wait to return.

Love the owner. I said I wanted a mixed platter; and he just smiled and said he knew what to get for me. What I love is that each individual item has its own unique taste and spicing. The injera is divine and the prices very reasonable. We now order for the whole family! Delicious!

Such a top-notch place! An especially strong point is that when you have no idea about East African food they have a very reasonably priced group combo that gives you an introduction that is unforgettably delicious. We have been back many times I will be again. And the coffee…. Wow!

Gojo Ethiopian Restaurant was a great experience! I went to try Ethiopian food for the first time, and we really enjoyed it.I went with the veggie and meat combo, as per our waiter's recommendation. I wanted to try as many things as I could to get the full experience, and I definitely got that with this combo. I don't really consider myself to be a huge vegetarian food lover, so I wasn't surprised when I didn't love all the veggie items. However, the meat items that came with the combo were amazing. One thing I was very excited to try was the injera, which is the spongy, bread-like dish that is used as a vehicle for the other dishes. The taste caught me a little off guard, as it has quite a bit of tang to it. I assume it's made with some sort of yogurt or milk, maybe. It was also served slightly cold, which was a little weird admittedly, but I'd say that I enjoyed it overall. One thing I feel like I should mention is that the service was beyond incredible. The gentleman who served us was very helpful and nice. He made us feel very welcome and was more than happy to answer our questions about the food.Considering this is my first time trying Ethiopian food, I'm not sure how this ranks up to other Ethiopian places, but being someone who loves trying different foods, I really liked what I had here.

The food was delicious. I would recommend anyone who want to explore Ethiopian culture. Totally going back to that place for roud two.

We had a great experience eating there. The food was delicious and great service too!

We went to Gojo for New years eve dinner. Delicious food and excellent service; I had the veggie combo and veggie samosa and amazing spicy tea.

This is the best spot for Ethiopian food that I have ever been to! I have tried Ethiopian restaurants in difference provinces and nothing compares. The injera is perfect, the veggie combo is one of my favourites! The owners are so so amazing and accommodating I will always come back for more! I have always left with a happy stomach and I can’t help myself from craving this all the time! Thank you for giving Winnipeg the best Ethiopian food and some of the best service I have ever received! I will always be supporting this local business!

We had never had Ethiopian food before. Some of our party did not like it but didnt mind it. Owner is friendly and offers good suggestions. Lots of different alcohols available. I recommend trying it and make up your own mind as it's not for everybody. Lamb tibs are very good I thought.

Their food is fantastic and is my go-to place for Ethiopian food. The veggie and meat combo is one of my favourites here. Super fresh and good traditional environment.
