Tried both the gyro and fries at George’s, and I do not believe you can get better bang for your buck in the whole city. Generous portions paired with reasonable prices is a home run! On top of that, the food quality is stellar. Very clear that the vegetables are all fresh and the fries are straight from the oil. Will definitely return if I find myself in the area looking for a solid meal. The price is just a bonus. Overall, George’s is highly recommended!
I love their burgers. Quite larger than other places. Taste is also very good. Fast service.
Hadn’t been to a George’s in a decade and very much enjoyed the food tonight. Ordered two cheeseburgers, a greek salad, and a chilli fries to split amongst three people. Portions were gigantic, chilli was flavourful, and the buns tasted really fresh.Did ask for no olives in the salad—unfortunately we found a couple stray olives and could taste a hint of them throughout the salad. I assume the salad is batch made with all toppings in it, and the olives were pulled by hand?Didn’t matter in our family’s case tonight as it was just a preference—and like I said, really enjoyed the food overall—but this definitely makes me hesitant to bring my partner here as she has several severe allergies.
Never disappoints, ample food on your plate. Chili Cheese Fries,, a meal I recommend shared. Actually my favourite chili compared to the other greek burger places in Wpg.
Low star rating because as a vegetarian there was a piece of fried chicken in the onions rings from cross contamination.Ordered veggie burger, it was supposedly a chickpea burger but taste like a soy patty.
The burgers were good. There's not much to say about that but! The poutine was different the oil or vinegar used in the process of preparing the fries was not your typical flavour we were also charged for tap water 4 dollars which is a first so keep that in mind but other then this it was completely dead like not a single person so an okay place to come quietly enjoy some food minus the server coming over and over to ask questions we both thought it was not the same as it once was
I'll admit I came in with having seen some poor reviews. My friend said forget that, I would love it, and we did! I tried the burger and sub and what portions, now we are talking! Wife had the greek salad, which was tasty but probably won't keep to take home. Nice spot overall I will be back.
My gyro & fries & ceasar salad were delicious. My hubby order spaghetti with meat sauce and it was too spicy. He couldn't even eat it. The waitress offered to bring him something else but he declined. My salad was huge and I could only eat 1/2.So he finished my salad. I ate my fries and I was full so I took my gyro home. Lots of food so even though it may seem a little pricey you get allot of food for your money. The server was great.
Picked up a Clubhouse sandwich today. Turkey Loaf. WTF. The bacon was almost all fat. Never in 25 years I have been going there have I had a sandwich there with a Turkey Loaf. It was gross.Never again. What is wrong with them? Why would they do this? They have always used nice fresh tasty turkey.
I always get the fries with cheese and Chilly and I find it's not as good as it used to be. If you get take out they don't give you as much as eating in. I also find they sometimes skimp out on the Chilly and cheese. Not good.
