A bit pricey at 72 bucks and change for 2 medium specialty pizzas, a small cheese and a 7up but enjoyed it. Staff was very friendly, food was exactly as ordered and ready on time.Picked up at the portage avenue location.
Frank’s used to be our favourite pizza but that is not the case anymore. Our last three pizzas have been terrible! Two were burnt and last nights pizza was COLD and very skimpy toppings. When you pay $33.43 for a medium pizza you expect a GOOD Pie. We may as well have ordered the two large pizza deal from Pizza Hotline for 26 bucks, it probably would’ve been better! Also, The staff is so rude, it’s intimidating to even call and order a pizza! So long Franks, we’ll miss you! (2450 Main St. Location)
It has been a long time coming to finally try Frank’s Pizza. Tried it on two separate occasions before making this two-star review, and three different types of pizza.Honestly, in my opinion- for the quantity, taste, and *quality... the price is exorbitant.The pizzas seem to taste like nothing special at all, but just with a HIGH price.Have noticed Frank’s Pizza to be the choice of rich people... it seems completely because they can justify spending 2x that of other pizza places yet the quantity and taste are similar or worse even than other places. It’s almost like a status thing even.Particularly noteworthy is that we tried the cheeseburger pizza and four of us were disappointed.To me, the location is questionable as well being tied with a night club that is not regarded as being the fanciest place out there, meanwhile Frank’s is a posh pizza place. Seems super odd.I will note that the customer experience seems excellent at Frank’s, based on the times we ordered!*Bothwell cheese is super quality! Was super excited about this then found the cheese to taste no better than other pizza places. Bothwell cheese is indeed the best of the best quality around here!Not planning to buy here much anymore, 100% Domino’s, etc. are the way to go. Domino’s, Pizza Hotline (although horrible customer service), Papa Johns, Gondola, even Pizza Hut are all REALLY good if ordering at a discounted rate! Specials, etc.!
I ordered a medium Frank's Combo. Their original crust is traditional pan style and has a great chew to it. No flop. I like mine a bit crunchier, so I'm going to try well done, next time. The sauce is fantastic. Savoury, not sweet, and not overly salty. The toppings are evenly shared, and every bite is wicked delicious. There was no grease on this pizza. I'll definitely order again. I prefer New York style slices, but this is up there with Santa Lucia for Winnipeg's best pan pizza. Different taste from SL though, in a good way. SL has the sweeter sauce, again, this is more savoury. Both are legit.
I've now ordered, over the past year, approximately ten pizzas from Frank's. With no exceptions all were really good. Last night I ordered a medium double pepperoni, salami and double cheese with extra sauce. I didn't weigh it but I'll bet it was 5 lbs. or more! They never skimp on giving toppings but WOW! They are now my new favorite place to order pizza from! Highly recommended! The delivery was fast and the driver was very polite!
Awesome pizza with loads of toppings. Also probably the best wings I’ve had in Winnipeg. You won’t be disappointed!
