I tried to get some take-out food. The service was poor. One of the employees was rude and not doing much. The other employee was doing most of the work. On their website, they say they have bison ribs, which was one of the reasons I wanted to eat there. They don't actually have the bison ribs. They just don't update their website. I was not given an estimated time on how long my food would take. The butternut squash ravioli was very good. The feast "bannock" pizza didn't taste bad, but the crust seemed like a basic frozen thin crust. The donut-type desserts were not very good.
great food!!! nice little place, we will be back...alot!
By far the best food on our Winnipeg trip. I had the wild rice with a butternut squash curry that was to die for.My husband loved the pizza.
When we were looking for places to cater our 50-person wedding, Feast Cafe Bistro was one of the first places to come to mind, and the one we were most excited about. As a caterer, they were so easy to work with! They let us adjust the menu as much as we wanted, made recommendations based on our needs, and were happy to provide staff to help with serving. And the food was incredible! More than one guest told us it was the best food they'd ever had at a wedding. I would absolutely be happy to have Feast cater at any event I might have in the future.
Amazing food and people. I accidentally rated them one star because I was wearing both my phone and my keys around my neck and my keys were hitting the screen and must have done this somehow without me knowing. I am really sorry. Sometimes when I walk by stores and restaurants my phone will ask me to review them and the keys must have hit the notification and opened up the Google review page. I know it's an unbelievable story but it's true. So sorry about that because you guys are awesome. Anyway, I love Feast. Try their very berry iced tea. It is addictive! I could drink litres of it. My favourite food is the chicken cranberry melt and the bison burger. I am so glad a place like this exists so close to me. It is a great place for community and learning about the vibrant and intelligent Indigenous culture. Miggwetch!
my favorite restaurant in the city. their tacos are amazzzzing.
They catered a dinner for 28 people from work and the service was amazing and the food was world class! Thanks for being wonderful hosts.
First time there and mixed review. After getting water we sat for about 20 minutes with nobody asking if we wanted a drink or were ready to order. It appeared we were not the only ones as the table beside us were there longer than us and had to flag down the waitress to order. It was not overly busy. We ordered a combination of food to eat there and to go. I ordered a Chai Latte, was brought to the table without a spoon, asked for one and never did get the spoon. We ordered 1 soup to eat and another to go. They brought both to the table so 1 was sent back to be to go. Chicken fingers were more on the heavy side with breading with not so much chicken but the fries were excellent. The bannock was really good that went with the soup. The soup was good but on the small side for a bowl of soup (not sure if they mixed it up with a cup of soup). Had the chili which was very good but a bit on the small side for $12.00 (I know they use bison which may account for the additional cost). Had ordered the chicken with cranberry to go, Upon trying later was missing the cranberries so definitely disappointing. My car was parked on the street outside their place and this is not the Feast's cafe's fault. However, it leant to the experience. My car was broken into and they took anything and everything. Cleaned out my glove box, took my eyeglasses I use for driving, sunglasses, some cleaning products I had bought etc. Basically anything they could get their hands on they took. While overall we enjoyed the food there is a need to be more attentive to patrons and ensuring orders are correct.
We had a great meal. the Manitoba poutine was delicious. The home made turkey and asparagus soup was excellent. The chicken melt with cranberry sauce on bannock was very tasty. Servings were generous, I had trouble finishing it. It was busy when we there , service was friendly and efficient. We will definitely go back to try some of the other menu options when we are in Winnipeg again.
It was so good!I got the roasted butternut squash ravioli with the bison and it was just delicious. My friend also got the mac and cheese and that was also really really good.It did take a little long for the food to come out but I was with a decent sized group [around 8-9 people] so, it's understandable. I loved that they mostly used candles for light, it was so cute and cozy. The waitresses were also very nice!
