Excellent food, very tasty, huge portions, and extremely well priced. The service was very quick too. I found the menu had a lot of options. If your a meat eater, this place is for you.
Here to celebrate my Brother’s Birthday
Had a pretty good meal at this restaurant. Lots of tables but pretty busy on a friday evening, that we almost didn't get a seat - we ended up on the lounge side of the restaurant. The portions were smaller than I expected - could have more mac 'n cheese as a side. The fish was good if you like spicy food, but was surprised that it didn't talk about the spice/heat in the batter in the description on the menu. The corn bread was very good. Loved the BBQ pineapple spears - grilled to perfection. The pulled pork was good.
My wife lived in Texas and said it was pretty authentic. Her chilli was not that great and her chicken was okay. My ribblets were great and we liked the fries. There were some menu items missing like the sausage but we were there on a Tuesday so it's understandable that not everything would be available. Nice sauces, we each had a favorite. We received good service and had a good experience overall.
Fabulous! Fabulous! & Fabulous! We saved our date night to today for lunch. We enjoyed the dinner for two. Excellent tasting food!! Superb service by our waiter and the host!! Seriously a wonderful first experience for me at this restaurant!! I couldn't help but give rave reviews to the manager. What a friendly man. We have had famous Dave's truck come out to a church event and had a taste of their pulled pork sandwich. I hugged him and said we have found our new Winnipeg favourite restaurant??. Thank you for a special date with my husband!! We'll be back??
This restaurant has ample parking. The parking lot is easy to use even on a busy Friday night.They have a variety of seating options. It was busy, tables get full on Fridays.Staff was rushed but friendly.The food came quickly and was fresh and hot.The beef brisket was underwhelming. It seemed rather bland. The toast didn't help. The dull cutlery didn't help.The pork was okay. The flavor of the meat was lost in the sauce.The corn was good.The mac n cheese was awesome, it had a bit of a kick and corn. It was different but it worked. If you expect creamy cheesy comfort mac and cheese this isn't it. Rather small portion.The fish was very good. It was juicy and cooked just right. However it had a spicy coating which was a surprise.Overall it's a bit of mixed bag.
Paid $14.95 for a plate that gave you one meat choice, a side and small cornbread muffin. I paid $1.35 more because I wanted beef brisket. Basically got three very thin slices of meat, a small corn muffin and a small bowl of chips. Definitely not worth what you pay for, portion way to small. Won't be back. Famous Dave's in the USA is 100 times better.
Feb 26, 2022late lunch & ordered Sassy Salad, Two Meat Combo, Brisket Platter w/Drinks. Meals were sub par to put it kindly. The only thing that had a good temp was the sides of mac and cheese. Brisket on both were barely warm as well as the pork. Would have asked for redo but server was scarce. waited then just ate our meals and were very disappointed. As well quality of the brisket was lacking-more fat then meat on most. Certainly not worth the money paid. I have submitted two contact forms and not heard anything back! Guess they don’t really care!
Winnipeg location… have been in the past and was always great. This time brought friends and we were so embarrassed by the food that was served. It wasn’t very busy, we didn’t have to wait for a table. Service was fantastic but food was awful. Most plates were cold or lukewarm at best. Ribs and rib tips were hardly edible. All sides were cold. Cheese on Chili not even slightly melted as it wasn’t even warm. The bill for our half of the table was $140 and we left $20 tip as service was great and not servers fault that kitchen was awful. Definitely won’t be going back.
