Shared several dim sum items with friends. Tasty, but nothing really stood out. Service was good, parking is tight in a small lot, overflow parking on surrounding streets. It's in the heart of downtown Winnipeg's Chinatown, which is a sketchy neighborhood at the best of times. Beware after dark.

Jun14/2022 5:27 Just had dinner with my fiancé for the first time in years. My total was $89 when all was said and done, I asked for extra hot sauce and I was sternly told no I could not have more, so I made my point of my bill and the lady after throwing a fit about some shortage at market brought me another toonie sized dollop that my fiancé and I were sharing. I’m not sure what she is talking about for shortage but if a customer is requesting more condiments at your establishment after spending x amount of dollars… there should be no public backlash of yelling back and fourth in Chinese with co workers clearly freaking about an extra dollop of hot sauce!!! When we were ready to leave I asked to speak to management as are meal was clearly ruined over the disrespectful encounter with the hot sauce Police. The front end girl checking us out responded there is no management. Not answering any questions and rudely brushing me off with repeating thank you have a good night. No customer service and our meal was ruined by the whole disappointing, embarrassing experience. I hope management sees this and Changes things not sure I’ll ever go back.

It was our first time trying at dim sum garden the food was okay but the service was very bad- we felt very unwelcome and uncomfortable- Went to ask for spoons was told just wait for second didn’t even look at us I was just standing there and came back to my table later on was delivered by another girl.- we had to ask for condiments but was very uncomfortable to ask since they barely served us. It was like throwing the food at our table.- it was not busy but the server literally rushed our table and just gave us the menu and threw the napkins at the table.- At this point we wanted to go but still sat down thinking it would be rude to leave .- she barely even looked or asked anything to our table and left us unattended utill we asked .IF You see the curly hair girl don’t even expect a smile or good service!!!Never going back again !!

I used to come here all the time and today was really awful experience. Servers were all in a rush because of tons of mobile orders. I feel like the quality of dine in went down hill. One of the people in our party that’s never been, ordered a ton of items due to miscommunication with the server. The miscommunication brought our bill to 700 dollars. When we asked for the food to stop coming because it was a mistake they refused to remove it from the bill because they already cooked it. The worst part of it is they never really even gave us the food that they had said was cooked, until we mentioned it was on the bill but not in the table. Felt robbed. Also for the communication part, don’t expect much. If you just want to sit and have food handed to you without any requests then go for it. But otherwise any other ask feels like it’s too much. Because I feel like I’m a secondary customer and their mobile orders come first.

The service has really gone downhill the last 2 times I went. Staff seemed cranky when asked to explain the dishes by some of the newbies. One waitress snipped something under her breath when asked for the red vinegar the pork dumplings traditionally come with, suggesting we could just use the soya sauce. Then she brought one teeny dish. There were 2 tabled of us and we couldn't believe how the prices went up and differed so much from a previous visit just a few weeks ago.

My family and I waited patiently for one and a half hours. When we were seated they made us wait even longer for food. There was also a lot of food delivery services waiting even though it was Mother's Day. They had an unorganized system of dealing with their customers and food delivery services. We ended up not getting anything and leaving because we wouldn't wait for who knows how long until they would deliver our food.

Not a good dine-in experience at all. Came here because there was a HUGE lineup at Kum Koon Garden (across the street) and left very disappointed.Very disorganized staff. Took over an hour to get our food, and when we finally did get our dishes most of everything at the table was cold.Should have just waited in line at Kum Koon… won’t be back.

I like the seafood dimsum or shrimp, and fried shrimp dumplings.

This place is next level bad. Every aspect of it is disgusting:- Food is underdone and is literally the worst that I’ve ever had in my entire life. Pizza pops would look and taste like high end cuisine if put side-by-side.- Water was served to us in cups with lipstick and dried food on the sides. The waiters didn’t care. There was no apology.- Speaking of the waiters, the few that we dealt with tonight were absolutely rude and miserable.- The walls are dirty and haven’t seen a coat of paint in a long, LONG time.- We were served food, then desert, then the rest of our food came out (in a bag and undercooked).- The washrooms look like something that you would expect at a Main Street dive bar.- Worst restaurant experience of my entire life, to the point where I feel insulted by how bad it was.TLDR: Dim Sung Garden is beyond dirty and disgusting. Don’t ever waste your time and money there.
