Great fat boy burger! Thick moist patty, and many napkins needed makes it great! Would be 5 ⭐️’s but the fries in the poutine which have this claim, “Savoury home cut shoestring fries made to order”, were hard like they had been under the warmer and not fresh, making them disappointing. The poutine was much to small for over $8. Next time will try a shake, float or sundae.
Ordered 3 burgers through Skip The Dishes, they were absolutely horrible. All 3 burgers had half frozen patties in them. We also had an order of fries with chilli on the side. The fries were mixed with the chilli in the same container (not a big deal) but the fries stunk so bad and were full of oil that we couldn't even eat them. They went straight to the garbage. I will not be recommending this place to anyone ever.
My hubby and I skipped two chili dogs with two fries. ……the fries smelled SO BADDDD we could not eat them. Directly into the garbage. The smell was old rotten oil. Can’t describe it. Made us both gag immediately. The hotdog was terrible as well. Bun was mush and the “chilli” was hardly that….tasted my old meat about to turn. That was also tossed after the first bite. What a waste of money! I’m not sure what happened to this place over the years but this is not the dairy whip we knew. Go elsewhere !!!
I ate here for 25 years and although the service was always somewhat rude, I chalked it up to language barrier and no customer service knowledge. Stopped in yesterday for a fat boy and when I went to pay, the guy said we dont have debit, ONLY cash...well, if I was the tax department I would ask why is this the case?...Most small biz has to prove everything to the government even when accepting CC and debit..Why do these goofs get special treatment..and here's an idea, be polite .....and why are there 5 guys working there mid afternoon, with no one eating there...makes me think IMO, Burgers aren't their 'only' thing they are selling there.....very weird vibe ...besides the incredible rudeness...Lost my biz forrever..so sad to see a&w beside them lined up and not a sole at this place...makes it hard to support local when the people there are such incredible jerks

EDIT** I ordered a sundae online and chose the pay in store option. When my bf and I got there, he went down to grab it. He came back upset and told me that the guy on the till asked him “if you knew that you were going to pay here, why did you order online?” he then turned around before my bf could even finish answering “because I thought you would be busy” (they were busy). If you were going to question my choice, why bother putting that option there?? It makes no sense and you come off as cheeky and ignorant. It really turns your customers away, honestly.Trif, the owner, gave us a call and apologized for what happened. He sounded very apologetic and genuine on the phone. It was much appreciated and it shows how much he cares about his customers. We’ll have to come and give this place another shot, thanks again Trif!
Milkshake, yes. Boooorgurhg, absolutely. French Fries, are well done, never too salty. And the homies in there always out all the extras into your bag. An institution.
I grew up in the 'hood and me and my buddies were some of their earliest clients. Still love the food there; has never changed and we are happy they are carrying on the tradition! Best chilli on everything!
Best burgers and fries around. Cash only but definitely worth it. With covid they have a person taking your order and bringing it to you. Be sure to tip.
First time trying Dairi Whip. Unfortunately it will be my last. Ordered on skipthedishes as i was at work ordering food for dinner. The special request asking to omit was ignored which mistakes happen i understand that. However fries came cold and stale again i understand skip can take time but 10 mins away they don't get that cold. But the fries had a taste of old fryer oil. As someone who worked as a cook for 3 years at a restaurant i could tell right away. Very disappointing. Was looking forward to it as someone who loves trying local spots and hidden gems. Unfortunately this was a big miss and disappointment for me
