AH-MAZING!I've been wanting to try this place and ordering online was easy and fast. Loved the 12 samosa special and gave some to others who are surely hooked now too. (I could drink that sauce!) The samosas were packed with filling. The vegetarian curry lunch was all SO tasty - I couldn't pick a favorite. The naan - fresh and perfect, even after my 35 minute ride home. Can't wait to try this place again.
Ordered Indian Chinese for my birthday and it tasted like heaven!! Totally made my day, unforgettable taste and aroma! Big shout out to the main chef for taking out the time to know what tickles my palate exactly and then deliver it with excellence. I am running short of words. It was a beautiful experience!!! Needless to say, I am hooked. ??
the wife and I have gone to this great spot many times. the Tiki Masala is to die for, butter chicken is amazing...but the crown on the top...their Nan bread is amazing.
Cilantro's (the Gateway location in Wpg) is a cozy restaurant with delicious Indian & Indian-Canadian food (ie, butter chicken poutine! So good!). To quote my 8-yr-old: "It's super super super super yummy!" The portions are generous and the staff was very friendly. It was a bit slow, but that may because this place has become popular. So, maybe if you're in a rush for lunch, you may want to phone your order ahead if you're hoping to dine-in.
Went to Cilantro for dinner. We ordered Chicken Tikka Masala & Cilantro’s Chicken Curry. It’s *chef’s kiss* but the servings are small for the price but all in all, its really a nice dish. The staffs are friendly & will approach you time to time to ask how’s the food and they offered sizzling brownie with vanilla ice cream for dessert which is delicious too. :)The dine-in & ambiance of the restaurant was a 8/10. It is kind of tight to seat for 4 people in a table. (Table is not that big)If food wise, I would definitely recommend cilantro!
tried the vegetable samosas. very tasty with the right amount of spice. cant wait to try their other dishes.
Had a wonderful late lunch here. The food arrived quickly and was delicious. The portions were generous and the bill was surprisingly low. Tipped just more than I usually would because everything was so excellent it surprised me they don't charge more.Definitely one of the best Indian restaurants in the city.
The food is absolutely amazing here! We found this little restaurant through some friends back in 2019 and have been going and ordering from there since, and honestly never been disappointed! The staff are always lovely and helpful. The restaurant is clean and we enjoy sitting in one of the booths and have a delicious meal. My husband and I highly recommend it if you like Indian cuisine!!!
Tried it for the first time. I wasn't impressed with food. Butter chicken had lots of sauce and a little bit of meat not worth 17 $ for sure! Rice had a weird musky taste..very dry too. Ordered mild Samosas and it was way too spicy for being called mild. Stuffed with lots of red chilly flakes. Took a sip of milk with every bite. Overall overpriced and not as good as I expected it to be for what I paid
My boyfriend and I had supper here last night and the food as always was amazing!! So much flavour; it’s the best butter chicken in the city. The staff there is kind and friendly. I highly recommend eating here if you’ve never tried it.
