Excellent experience! We will be back!There was a mixup with our reservation, and the host more than made up for it with comped drinks and apps. Food was hot and tasty. Service was excellent. Highly recommended!
Group of eight went for a retirement lunch. There were a surprising number of items on the menu that "They were out of". The guest of honor asked for a strawberry daquiri but couldn't get one because they didn't make them but she could have a margarita. ?????? A bartender that doesn't know how to make a daquiri? With the exception of a few standard bar mixes the only difference is that one has Tequila and the other one has Rum. Service was sub par, waitress was seldom there and to note, the restaurant was not busy. Unfortunately the person that booked the reservation was unaware of poor reviews. Would have preferred to go else where. This time Brown's did live up to its unfavorable review. Will not return nor recommend to others.
Wait was rather long for food also wait for refilled drinks was long and not offered only when reached out to waitress.Ordered dry ribs and calamari and then only told after a almost 20 min wait that they are out of it. After a finding something else i would be ok with insted i decided on Sesame Ginger Gyoza .. they then said oh were out of that too. Did not place another order after that.A friend at the table ordered a burger ,the Gravy ordered with the fries was cold and like jelly. Also waited 40 min for an order of Parmesan fries and the Spicy fried chicken/pickles .. Then finnaly after arrival and a few pieces eaten,they found that the chicken really tastes like nothing.Lastly other friend at the table ordered spicy tuna roll... The rice was way over cooked causing the rolls to be super pasty/gummyOverall was a terrible experience ..This is Browns located off Plessis.Have not had a bad experience at the Main street location.
Really poor experience tonight. Wife wasn’t asked what side she wanted so she got fries which she can’t eat instead of a salad. The cheese on my nachos was broiled to a crisp. When I mentioned this to my waitress, she defensively and argumentatively said they have to be cooked this way, totally dismissing my comments that they aren’t usually overcooked like this. Every chip I tried to eat snapped off because they were so overcooked. And my glass sat empty for fifteen minutes without a refill.When told that our meal was unsatisfactory, the waitress returned and confronted my wife with “how come you didn’t tell me this when I came by to ask how your food is?”, almost to suggest that she was making it up, but she only asked after telling me that my nachos were perfectly fine and we were both in a state of shock after being treated this way.They did comp us the half eaten nachos and took a few bucks off my wife’s meal. She made it sound like she was doing us a big favour.I’ve been to this restaurant many times and have never had a server argue with me and completely dismiss my concerns in this manner. I still can’t really believe this happened.Best part though? My wife saw her glaring at us as we left the parking lot. I told her no way she did that, but she insists that her eyes were locked onto us as we drove by and went around the corner. It must have killed her to try and make nice to us.
It was alright. We reserved a table for 6 but the table and seats were barely big enough for 5 grown men let alone 6. I was seated at our reserved table before the rest of the group arrived and it took ten minutes before the server came to the table to offer me a drink.After that things went ok. They did mix up a couple of the orders and didn't prepare one person's steak as they had indicated but he accepted the dish anyway to avoid causing an issue in front of the group.I wasn't expecting much here and they met that expectation. I wouldn't come here to entertain a group but it's probably fine for drinks and finger food.
Fabulous food through Skip the Dishes, its like bringing Browns to your living room! Delighted with their Tiki Tuna Poke Bowl (packed with amazing flavours, tuna, rice, veggies!) and Potato Crusted Cod Bowl although I would have loved to also order a Dragon Bowl as well! Calamari was also very delicious! Made our Mothers Day Celebration special! Thank you Browns! Will definitely order again, worth every penny!
Following revue was for a pickup order on April 9, 2022. First time experience. Order was ready at the time promised.Burger and fries were good. Burger was on the small side. Fries came in a small tray - about 6" l x 3" w x 2" high. Unfortunately the tray was half full. I was not aware that potatoes are being rationed? They were good but no where near enough. Looked at one of the other orders someone had and they had the same amount of fries so it was not an error. I was still hungry after I ate. Not very good value for the money. Won't be returning anytime soon.

My family enjoyed our meals, the service, and the ambiance of the restaurant.Too bad you don’t make pizza anymore. It was a family favourite. Still there are many different choices, with many gluten-free choices.
We had a good table, perfect size for our little group and accommodated the car seat. My Blackened Chicken Caesar was to die for! So much flavor.. plenty of food too!! The photo does not do it justice!! Yum!
