My most favorite sushi restaurant in the city. Many sushi restaurants have come and gone over the years, and many favorites are no longer around. But Blufish is still here. Even through the pandemic, their food through delivery has continued its high standards. You can tell a lot about a sushi restaurant by the quality of their sashimi. Any amateur can take canned tuna and roll it into maki, but it takes a qualified, experienced chef to prepare and serve sashimi at the highest standards. I'm no chef, but I know quality sashimi when I taste it. I've tasted amazing sashimi, terrible sashimi, and everything in between. Blufish places high as amazing sashimi. Despite my compliments about their delivery standards, dining in the restaurant is still beyond measure. Anybody who hasn't done so simply must. Service is accommodating, the environment is cozy and warm, and the food tastes best when it is freshly prepared. If you are a sushi aficionado, you owe it to yourself to give Blufish a try. You will keep coming back like I do!
We always enjoy the sushi....but also all of the other dishes too. The flaming scallops are a real favourite!!!
I have always really enjoyed dining at Blufish. The food is pricy, but is always fresh and delicious. However, the restaurant was full and very understaffed. Our waitress was very friendly and apologetic, but clearly overworked, disorganized and frazzled. The young man that brought some of our food basically plunked it down and walked away. One of us,that ordered separately from our group of three, received all of her order; I received my tempura shrimp before the two items we asked for first; and wine came in the middle of dinner. We needed to ask for water, as well as cutlery, several times. We will definitely continue to enjoy a meal here again. However, if the restaurant wants to improve, they should provide staffing according to their reservations.
Have not been here in years but the quality of food has definitely took a dive. Service was okay.
