Thanks to Sir Root Bub, this was hands-down the best A&W I have ever visited. The food was so freshly made, I was astonished! The onion rings were expertly seasoned and fried to perfection. The teen burger was hot and the lettuce was thoroughly crisp. My soda was served in an ice-cold glass mug, and was unlike anything I have ever experienced before. The restaurant was very clean and well lit, with a modern, well kept feel. It would be my greatest wish to visit this fine establishment again.TLDR; The A&W at 3011 Portage Ave. Winnipeg is pretty good I'd recommend I guess
Why isn't the hot Nashville Chicken sandwich not done right at this location? The patty is super dry while it needs a lot of Nashville spicy glace sauce, there really is none. Other A&W locations do it right.I try to tell the drive thru staff that but they have a very hard time comprehending; language and communicating with the new staff has been an ongoing issue, I'm sorry I don't speak their language but it's frustrating when they have no idea what they are doing. I'm echoing others' experiences as well.Please train your staff up to snuff or get someone that can comprehend English.
Normally service at this location late night can be slow but this was ridiculous. Saturday night waited around 10 minutes to place my order, then 15 minutes before I got to the window. Once there the server was punching something into one of the counter tills for over 5 minutes before I finally yelled to the window. She comes to the window and rudely snaps that she's taking an order. I could see my food was under the lamp when I drove up, no idea how much time before that but from the fact my buns were so dried out it the sides were like breadcrumbs I would assume awhile.
My son and I went to a+w for lunch and had the uncle burger with onion rings well was not impressed with the burger as the meat seemed dried out like it had been sitting in a heat bin for sometime.the onion rings were great and that is why it is a 2 star rating.
I had to make a pitstop on the way to work. The bathrooms were exceptionally clean. I've eaten here in the past, service was timely, the quality is on par with the other A&Ws I've been to.
Only thing that bothers me about a and w and not just this one is that every time I get a chubby chicken burger I have to go to the front of the store and wait. Otherwise food is consistently good, a little pricey if you don’t use a coupon.
Once again, a $40+ drive-thru order gets messed up. I don’t know why they can’t ever get it straight. When kids only want cheese and ketchup, that doesn’t mean add in mayo. Every time it’s something different. Four expensive burgers in the garbage and kids fun dinner night ruined. Check your meals carefully because accuracy and quality is lacking.
Food are always hot. Service is very pleasant. Great location!
I tried to order a burger for lunch today. No one would acknowledge that I was waiting or take my order so after 3 minutes of being treated like I was invisible I left. You either need to hire more staff or train your staff better. I won't be back.
This A&W has amazing management! Was trilled with the service and quality. Even the root bear is served in a lovely glass cup. The best onion rings
