Amazing unique cocktails. Totally worth stopping in to try one. Can't comment on the food as we came here specifically for the drinks.
By far the best cocktails in Whistler and excellent food as well. Main bartender Jacob is an allstar. Anything on the menu or special requests are always on point.
A great place to go for a drink or a date. The bartenders take that extra little bit of care with each cocktail. You notice the little things like when they zest the rim of your glass. The food, however, was ok. The plates were nice and the presentation was ok, but the flavours just couldn’t hold up to the quality of the cocktails. I would not recommend any of the desserts. So this rating is a tough one. I want to give them 5 stars for atmosphere, cocktails and bartenders, but 3 stars for food and service. I believe they’ll sort this out over time. But don’t take this as a reason not to go. You should definitely try their cocktails!
There has been a lot of hype around the Raven Room lately, so I made a reservation well in advance to make sure my husband and I would be able to come here as part of our anniversary weekend away in Whistler. We came for appetizers and cocktails and everything was super delicious! Our waitress was great- very friendly and let us know right away that if there wasn't something in the cocktail menu that appealed to us, that something custom could be made. She was very helpful in giving recommendations. Between my husband and I the cocktails we tried were the local lemon drop punch bowl, queen of Barbados, and sorry I dropped your cherry. For appetizers we had the potato puffs and spicy Thai fried chicken. There punch bowl is a good value- $16 per person and we each got the equivalent of 2 drinks out of it. The queen of Barbados was not as sweet as I expected but nonetheless was delicious. However the best cocktail by far was the 'sorry I dropped your cherry!' which came recommended to to husband from our waitress as he likes sweeter drinks. It was so unexpectedly tasty- normally we would stray away from a cherry flavoured cocktail but we are glad we took her recommendation! it was my husbands drink but I ended up having a few sips. The food was 10/10. Both appetizers were FULL of flavour and worth every penny. I noticed that both appetizers are part of their happy hour menu too which looks like an awesome deal! I cannot say enough good things about the spicy Thai fried chicken and potato puffs. The only reason for not rating 5 stars is some things are definitely way overpriced. For example, we were considering getting the scallop and prawn appetizer but when I asked how much food it is, because they charge $27, the waitress told me it was only about 3 of each. So $27 is steep. The entree options also did not really appeal to us and definitely not for the price point- based on what we saw other people getting the portions are quite small. Overall though, the Raven Room lived up to the hype and we would definitely come back!
Delicious food, creative cocktails, friendly service. Loved every bit of it, a night to remember!
Recently, I have started working my way through the menu of this great new gem of an establishment.Palate pleasing plates are professionally prepared, placed and perfectly priced. My buds look forward to tasting more of the menu items every week.Kudos to all kitchen members behind the scene, as their work is unseen, but their efforts are not.The appreciation for talented customer service, delicious meals, a pleasing atmosphere and enough beverages to satisfy everyone in the party, can be satisfied here.
Very interesting happy hour that has fixed drink and small plate menu, the combo costing $17/per. The food is fancy and delicious, and the drinks are strong, but it would be nice to get a drink or a small plate and not have to do both. The seating is nice and the servers were great. I'm not sure why it's called Raven Room though.
We sat at the bar for some snacks and a cocktail. The bartender, Jacob, was amazing! He was a very knowledgeable and skilled professional. What a treat! He directed us to some delicious, creative cocktails that went well with our Lamb and Ling cod over risotto, and finally a great take on a classic, chocolate mousse. I don't like the typical, over-sweet, deserts and this was perfect for sharing. The Lamb was cooked to the exact right point for me: medium-rare. And, I'm hesitant to order anything with chimichurri, but this was the lightest, freshest I've ever had. Not with big overpowering flavors used to disguise poor meat. This was nicely balanced to not disguise the delicious lamb. We enjoyed our "snacks" so much that we're planning a full dinner here Before we leave. Thanks to all the staff who participated in creating this memorable evening of food and matching drinks for us!
Delicious food, excellent location, and great/friendly staff members with exceptional customer service. Seems like it would be a wicked place for an evening of drinks after skiing.
Went to the Raven Room with 4 girlfriends for the first time last night. Every staff member from the host to the owner to our server were all friendly, personable, and knowledgeable. We shared a bunch of small plates and every single one was delicious. I had a cocktail and then a glass of Riesling. I never order Rieslings because I don’t like sweet wine, but our server highly recommended it and said it was dry, so I gave it a try and I’m so glad I did! I will definitely be back!
