The restaurant was very hot. The food had no taste at all. The chef was using his vape in the kitchen that we could see from our table. No very sanitary.
The Keg at Whistler is a regular stop for my wife and I, especially for celebrating birthdays. We were served by Shauna who was awesome, attentive without being intrusive and super helpful and cheerful. The food is always great and the ambiance is comfortable while still busy.
Great place to go for our anniversary. Food was excellent!
It was my anniversary and the keg did remember and gave us a free dessert. Although the sourdough bread was really hard and the appetizer we ordered did not look appetizing. It was the lobster gratineé, was over cooked and tasted very oily. On the bright side our server was great! I think his name was Dax or smth like that. He was very well spoken and made us feel comfortable and welcomed. Even though they were understaffed. I could see the servers working hard.
Had a great experience at the Keg in Whistler! Had a drink at the bar on the lower level first and then went straight to our table at our reservation time. It was my birthday and we got a delicious piece of cake for it! Much appreciated the service and the food was also delicious ð
Had a wonderful time with family! Portions were excellent and well prepared. Service was even better. Highly recommend!
Iâve eaten at several different Keg Restaurants since the inception of the brand, and this was the only time that I can remember that I was disappointed in the entire experience. It started at the front door when we arrived 15 minutes early for our reservation with the intent of having a cocktail at the bar while we waited for our table, we were told that we had to wait outside. Thereâs $40 lost revenue for The Keg. Once we got inside and were seated, we were surprised to find a lot of empty tables that remained empty until we were finished and left. We could have easily been seated earlier. We both ordered the Keg classic prime rib which started with a Caesar salad. We were barely halfway through the salad when the server came over to tell us the prime rib was up and could he bring it out. At this point we were starting to feel rushed, so I said no, and that he could bring it out when were finished with the salad. When he finally brought out the prime rib, it was no longer the juicy medium rare that the Keg prides itself in, but a more medium done cut of beef that got more so while it sat on the plates in front of us. So rather than replacing the meat on the plates with medium rare as ordered before bringing it out, the original plates that had been sitting under a heat lamp came out. Poor planning and execution on the Kegâs part, both on the kitchen and the service side. Keg has rebranded in the last few years as a more upscale steakhouse and thatâs reflected in the prices, product and service at most of its restaurants but unfortunately not in Whistler at the location on this night. To offer a middle of the road experience for top end dollars is inexcusable.
Prime rib was dry and had no flavour, hamburger was burned as well as the bun. Waitress was great!
Great serviceâ¦our serverâs name was Daniel. He was professional, funny and polite. We had a great meal and we look forward to another visit to the Keg Whistler! Never disappoints!
It's a chain restaurant. Not bad but nothing great. Much better options in Whistler for this price point.
