The model here is three courses at a fixed price, with upcharges for some premium items but not for the halibut. Everybody in my party was happy with their meal. And there is bread service!
This restaurant is simply outstanding. My partner and I are visiting from Ottawa and were recommended this spot from someone in our hotel and it is arguably one of my best restaurant experiences ever!! Antony was brilliant and so attentive in every respect and had super recommendations. We decided on the duck and filet and they were simply incredible! Cocktails were perfect, wine recommendations matched perfectly, dessert was so yummy and Antony asked if he could assist with a drive home too!! Oyster delivery kitchen folk were awesome, water filler gal was sweet, and manager checked in and was glad to hear that we were very impressed. Just go if you’re in town - incredible experience all around!!!
Top notch food here. A must in whistler. From seevice to the delicious food. Nothing can beT this place.

I have been to whistler 3 times over the years and I am a bit of a foodie. So I think it should carry some weight when I say that Rimrock is the best place I have eaten in whistler. I had the Rimrock Mixed Grill it was composed of 3 things lamb, steak, and venison. The venison was the best venison I have ever had. The lamb was on par with any lamb I have ever had and even the steak (the weakest of the 3) would not disappoint fans of fine dining. The calamari and desert where also excellent. Also we sat at the bar and I have to say the bartender was amazing. I have never seen anyone working that fast that smoothly and for that long making wide range of complex drinks all the while either giving directions to other staff or carrying on friendly conversations with us or the rest of the staff. He never missed a beat it was truly impressive to watch.
It hits you when you first walk into the foyer and see a beautiful wine cellar on your left and a live tree growing behind the hostess’ table. This place is next level. Awards dating back to the 1990s are proudly displayed on you way to the bathroom; the Rim Rock is the best restaurant in Whistler. It only takes 5 minutes to understand why.Service was impeccable. Experience waiters take care of you with the perfect balance of “fine-dinning” mixed with “relaxed-vacation” vibes. Anton (our server) was a seasoned pro who rolled with the punches and made sure our evening was a pure delight. He knew his stuff and knew how to make us laugh.And then there is the food. The chefs here know how to give Vancouver’s finest a run for their money. My wife had the duck three ways while I had the mix grill. The fillet mignon was the best I have had in recent memory; a medium rare steak that melted under the knife and on the tongue. Our friends had the seafood platter special and another mixed grill. We all left delighted as can be.I think the biggest surprise for me was a rare bottle of scotch (see pic) that I would recommend trying. It’s hard to find (only 918 bottles produced) and an incredible value. I think it may even be under-priced for the quality.
Service was attentive but a lot of upselling I felt. Beautiful ambiance. Quite delicious but also very expensive (though I guess comparable to other restaurants of the same calibre in Whistler). My issue is that myself and my husband both got really bad abdominal pain afterwards. I can’t say for certain it was from here, so we only docked one star…. Otherwise would probably say 4.5!

Wonderful beautifully prepared meal, warm ambiance, and friendly service. Highly recommend the trio seafood dish, salmon, prawns and tuna, each prepared with their own flavors making it a great choice for someone who cannot make up their mind! My husband had plate envy, wishing he ordered the same! His lamb was very good though too!
