Wanted to treat my kids and grandkids to 3 berry pies and 1 apple pie. Posted price was $7.50 but the clerk said they were $9.50 and then realized she had quoted the wrong price. Seems strange for the emoji it to know what the prices are. But even worse was that the berry pies had absolutely no flavour and tasted horrible. The apple pie was reasonably flavourful. I know I will not visit Peak Pies again for fruit pies. Over priced and under flavoured. Hope the make some improvements.
I got the Steak and Guinness peaked sooo good and homemade tasting hubby got the steak bacon and cheese half peaked without the peas.
A quaint little shop space that's quite centrally located. It has great, flavorful hot chocolate, and a super tasty steak and mushroom pie that is a bang-on winner. The pies can also be served peaked, in which they will heap a dollop of mashed potato and mashed peas one on top of each other.I also ordered the Hopper, which is a kangaroo pie, but it was a tad sweet and not really for me. But that steak and mushroom will definitely make me want to return.
I always come here when I come up to whistler. I tried to hopper. I’ll be honest, I wish it want ground meat. I am not as big a fan of the ground meat pies. I want nice big chunks of meat that are juicy and tender. I feel like it’s the easy way out for ground meat as it’s cooked whatever. With chunks of meat, you know if it’s juicy and cooked with love. I usually get the steak and mushroom but tried the hopper. I won’t get it again. But the pies in general are top shelf.
Nice to see Australian food making it to the the corners of the earth. Great choice of pies to die for. A great way to warm your soul in colde weather.
Fast, friendly service. Unusual fare, but tasty. We enjoyed eating something different. Not light fare, so come hungry.
Delicious.They have a solid assortment of pies, something for everyone.I won't suggest what you should get, they're all good - but will recommend you get it peaked if you're not needing to carry it around. :)
I've tried Peaked Pies before, but they have a wide selection of pies so this time I decided to try "the Hopper" which has Kangaroo meat. I also ordered their Cinnamon Bun for some dessert.The Hopper is on par with the other pies at Peaked Pies. I enjoyed it, and will definitey try another flavour when I order again.The Cinnamon bun is also good. I wished they added more cream cheese / icing. I found myself with pieces of cinnamon bun without any icing while eating. Otherwise, the cinnamon bun was tasty.
We tried two of the peaked pies which were the steak and mushroom and the Aussie. Both of the peaked pies were very average both of the pies were not very hot. The steak and mushroom peak pie didn’t have very many mushrooms they were may be about seven very thinly sliced mushrooms inside the pie. Furthermore the steak was a little dry and not very tasty.
Firstly the raspberry pie we ordered arrived burnt. The cinnamon buns were crispy on the outside, so stale. Called store, person not helpful. Emailed owner and after three days still had no response, hence me leaving a bad review. You only have one chance to give a first impression… peaked pies gets 1/10 Burnaby location
