This place is such a gem. We came here two nights in a row because the food was so good the first night. Best Caesar salad in the world! Bison carpaccio, burger, steak, lamb kofta and macaroni stuffed metal ball! All AMAZING. We are so happy we found this place for such a good meal, talented chef, quality food, great service and dog friendly patio. We will be back! Thank you!
We found the restaurant staff very personable! Their dinners are very unique and well planned out. The new school fish and chips were so special and different than anywhere else. It was a real treat!
Amazing food! Every other place we’ve been in whistler has been disappointing food wise but this place is amazing! My partner and I split the lamb and the special of the day and honestly now I want to try everything on the menu now. The staff are lovely, the ambiance is wonderful. This is a must go to place for anyone wanting a great meal.
Food was grossly over cooked and or prepared far in advance giving it that unique taste and texture. The actual paper menu was old and moisture wrinkled. Service was below average even though it was not busy. This establishment has unfortunately lost their love of food and service. Going through the motions. They need John Taffer and fresh made to order food (some sarcasm). Great location. Totally not memorable and will never go back even if it was free. I ordered door dash when I got home. I know Michelin star food and the rankings (for context) and I eat fast casual all the time. I could have had a bad night for them. Maybe…
What a terrific date night out! The food was delicious (pasta and lamb). The ambiance was warm and welcoming and obviously a work of passion by the owner - stamped ceiling, copper accents, very romantic! Veronica from czech republic and Greg the owner/chef from Aylmer gave wonderful service and made us feel so welcome. The pace of the service was perfect - no rush - but when we wanted another service it was ready! The food was delicious (double mention) - we had soup (great), pasta (both pasta and sauce very good), lamb (that was mine - no sharing since it was cooked perfectly - with gravy but it was the cooking of the lamb that was perfect!). Service friendly, courteous, warming, we couldn’t decide on which local wine we wanted and they kept opening bottles until we found the Perfect match. We are definitely coming back. You could tell by the interactions with Veronica and Greg that the other customers felt the same way we did!
This restaurant is very small.Amazing atmosphere, warm service, and great food. We ordered meat balls for kids and they were so excited when I cut in half. But it was very salty so they couldn't finished it.Lamb and Duck were delicious, but I was disappointed a bit because the garnished vegetables for lamb and duck were the same. (Bit pricy, so I just expected that there would be more variety on the side.)
We’ve been eating here for as long as they’ve been here. Once a year, twice a year. There’s a consistency to the food over the years, but beyond that the humanity and humility of service is well above the sycophancy of places with just as good food :-)
We had dinner here while staying at the Fairmont hotel. The food and drink were great. The staff were really helpful and very attentive. Really handy if you are staying in the Fairmont Hotel
Wonderful find on a busy Friday evening at Blackcomb Village. Due to our late-made reservation, we were concerned that we could only get bar seating. But those fears were quickly alleviated after we were seated. Our server, Veronica, could not have been more pleasant or accommodating. The entire restaurant is quaint and cozy, and we were seated well away from any other bar customers. Our bar seating also gave us the perfect view to see the busy chefs cooking. I ordered the Braised Lamb Shanks prepared with dijon and rosemary gravy Purée of the day, seasonal vegetables & lentils. My date ordered the Pasta Pillows which were Butternut squash-stuffed ravioli, cherry tomatoes, zucchini ribbons Ricotta, parmigiano reggiano & kale almond pesto. Everything was delicious and cooked to perfection. Based upon our server’s recommendation, we paired our meal with Siren’s Call Special Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon from the Okanagan Valley which was outstanding. Since we didn’t order an appetizer, we splurged on dessert and ordered both the Cinnamon-dusted deep fried cheesecake and the Chocolate tart with Chantilly cream. Both melt-in-your-mouth delicious. This dining experience was an unexpected find and a real treat. Highly recommended.
An unforgettable, unexpected experience that warmed the heart, soul and of course, the taste buds. After a late evening massage at Scandinave Spa - where my partner and I honestly thought no restaurant would be open at that hour - Legs Diamond came to the absolute rescue. Gosh - the food (onion soup, steak & frites and pasta) was devine, the staff acted like family, and the chef radiated love for his patrons, people and food.We loved every bite and moment we were there. You couldn't help but clearly connect the quality of the food to the love/kindness/warmth in the chef/staff. We sat and admired the beautiful interactions in the restaurant - from the chef/owner entertaining one of the other remaining tables, to him encouraging a staff member to write in the books a later clock out time, and the infectious banter between the staff. Even the goodbyes - were so genuine and sweet. If you want to know what love tastes like, go to Legs Diamond. We will certainly be back. Alex and Kathy from Melbourne, Australia
