Absolutely incredible first experience here. The food was outstanding, every course we tried was so delicious and different. The restaurant prides itself on foraging and acquiring as much local produce as they can, the team have a lot of pride in their place of work and the menu, you can tell.Service from the bar was great too, fantastic drinks on the menu. Shout out to Tommy for making us feel special, his knowledge and recommendations
What an incredible dining experience! This was my husband’s favourite meal on our entire west coast trip. The 3 course meal was a fun way to treat ourselves to an incredible evening, and we enjoyed every dish. The elk tartare is a standout, as well as both of our delicious entrees (duck and pork)!Highly recommend.
The restaurant doesn’t have “normal” menus (in a good way!). We really enjoyed a lot of kicks and tweaks. I swear the dishes look so much better in person as it was quite dark inside and my old iPhone couldn’t get the best pics.
Excellent service and ambiance. Creative cocktails and good wine list. Food is beautifully presented and care is taken to use local ingredients. However, we found both the flat iron steak and the duck to be extremely salty. (Over salting of food happened on previous visits to Alta Bistro).
Always one of my favorites at Whistler. The menu is creative and unusual. Service is most attentive. Not as formal and polished as Araxi or Bearfoot bistro but the food is just as memorable and the relaxed atmosphere more in keeping with whistler’s mountain culture.
Fantastic local jewel to eat and drink. Every dish was a well thought-out display of local and sustainable ingredients and the sommelier’s recommendations were a delight. Will be back with friends and family every trip
Most of the food was tasty. Atmosphere was conducive to a larger group. Service was less than average for an establishment of this level. Plates were removed prior to finishing the mains without asking. Delivery of food was on par with a low end chain. Have been several times but this particular experience was disappointing unfortunately. If you’re looking for a fine dining experience in Whistler there are better options.
The servers were friendly and attentive. We enjoyed the superb cocktails - a mule and a paper plane. Keep in mind the ketchup for the bison burger and fries is crabapple ketchup. Very creative!
Chef's Menu and cocktails were delectable! I particularly loved the fresh oysters, elk tartare, and Mass 'A' Peel drink. We will be back!
Oh those flavours! From the home pickled veggies...to the gin cocktails...culminating with the duckl it was all delicious! Upbeat atmosphere. Fun decor. Great service.
