Sandwiches were expensive, but delicious. The chicken pesto sandwich was especially good, with well toasted bread and a slathering of pesto that accentuated the chicken without overpowering it
Food was fantastic, location has stunning views, and the baked goods..wow! Everything is homemade with real ingredients. A must try if you're in Tofino.
I loved the atmosphere and cozy vibes. Got a London fog and emperor scone, enjoying the view, what a nice afternoon. And omg the scone was out of this world. The interior was nice too, kind of like a Starbucks cafe. The price was like Starbucks too lol. $10.75 for the scone and $4-5 for the tea. It’s worth it though.
I ordered a grilled cheese sandwich yesterday and found a piece of hair inside the sandwich. Called the restaurant and they didn’t offer to refund at all. The sandwich was expensive…$17 and quite greasy too. Very disappointed.** Some update about my review above... I went to the store today... tried to ask for a refund due to the incident. The staff was very unfriendly, gave me a look, asked why I didn't bring in the sandwich on that day ( it was a take out and I went home already... and I don't live that close!), and if I have the receipt (they actually didn't even give me a receipt on that day, but I do have the electronic transaction statement on my credit card), and they refused to refund... but just said thank you for giving them the feedback.... and they don't seem to care much!I told them that it's up to them how they want to handle such incident, but this is not a feedback, it's a complaint, about their cleaniness and hygiene. It was just terrible... so... think twice whether you want to buy from them or not...Lesson learnt for me... I will make sure I take a picture of the food if it happened again!
My tour group got food Togo. This chicken pot pie was amazing, my only regret was not having enough time to go back and order one of their sweet pies.
To be told it’s a 10 minute wait for an $11 grilled cheese to then not even have the cheese melted is ridiculous.
Best pies in the GVRD bar none. I’ve been coming here for over 12 years and the quality has been consistently high.
The ladies at this cafe were just a delight to chat with! I wanted to grab a drink and a snack for the road - and when I asked what kind of cookie I should get, she recommended “the best cookie”. She didn’t LIE. Thoroughly enjoyed my mocha latte and cookie. Give them a visit when you’re in the area!
Service was very poor. Lady at order counter was chatting up a man in our queue and several of us waited forever as he proceeded to show photos on his phone and tell his life story. Lady at takeout counter didn’t seem to be concerned that many of us were waiting in the cold (there is no dine-in, only a take out line outside the front of the shop in the open air). Then another lady at the shop took the order of the person behind us instead of us, even though we were next in line. And when we finally got our turn the lady at the order counter was rude. There are other places with pies and baked items just as good. Will not order from this place again.
Amazing pies, amazing staff.Called in for a birthday pie for my sister. The lady who took the call was super helpful and kind. Came in several hours later and was helped right away by the same lady, who instantly recognized me from the phone call. The girl who rang it up and packaged the pie was also super friendly and recommended the raspberry rhubarb, which was absolutely delicious. Awesome job!
