The owners were nasty, the moment you ask for anything they will start to be annoyed I asked if it comes with ginger sides, got irritated. They told me it’s 15 mins she emphasizes yes 1 - 5 then they started talking in chinese like they’re mocking me because I asked. And then I said I’d like to cancel my order then they’re like “you’re not the only person ordering here! Blah blah” like they want a confrontation just cause I cancelled, I said yes I don’t like the way you guys talk to I’m canceling my order. They started yelling at me “get out of here! I was out of the store and they kept yelling at me my kid was traumatized.
Came in yesterday a couple hours before closing on Wednesday. Sushi is average. Not bad. However..I ordered a miso soup with my sushi and it was old, burned, and smelled of melted plastic. I would wager they pre portioned out the last of the soup into containers and kept them in a warning area, which resulted in the inedible miso soup. It went straight into the trash.Word of advice, don’t serve something you wouldn’t eat yourself. I eat fresh miso soup every morning as part of a Japanese breakfast I get at work for the last year. I know what it should taste and look like. You’d be better off telling customers that you are out for the day then serving sub standard food.
My favorite type of sushi restaurant - simple menu with classic rolls, quality ingredients, reasonable prices, and friendly staff. A total gem in Horseshoe bay!
The Bay Roll is really good, it has seven kinds of veggies rolled with seaweed and rice. For the fish option, I like their Korean Don with spicy sauce; this option includes different types of bite sized fish mixed with veggies and plain white rice. Sesame oil and Korean style spicy sauce lends great flavor.
Wasn't too overly pleased with this sushi, I've had much better. Owners seemed like great people though
This was one of the worst sushi experiences in my life. The rice was dry and tasted like it had no rice vinegar or sugar in it. The waitress was rude. We asked what she recommended and she said “They’re all good, what do you want?” and started pointing at all the items on the menu. Also, their minimum order is absurd. Way too much food - and we threw most of it out cause it was bland as anything.
A very professionally run operation that has been in Horseshoe Bay for years. The Bay Roll with seven types of veggies is really good. It's take out only nowadays, so I drop by when I want a couple of vegetarian rolls for dinner.
I love all the veggie options. The Bay Roll with seven types of vegetables is the best. For fish option, spicy tuna maki is the best. The spicy sauce is a Korean sweet chili sauce. If you like the spicy tuna maki, the Korean Don will taste great too. I discovered this place on a whim and will be coming back for more food!
Worst sushi I think I’ve ever eaten. On par with 7-ELEVEN. Got half way through my first roll and had to throw everything out. Hoping I don’t get sick.Potentially the bowls or something are better? I hate leaving a bad review but I paid $20 for a meal and can’t stomach any of it.
