Had a fantastic dining experience with YuaBistro. The service was absolutely friendly and kind, and the decorations were perfect for taking photos with your friends. The food were definitely delicious, we ordered lunch special sashimi, the portions was fair, the sashimi was thick, but small. The tempura batter is too thick and the ingredients inside are relatively thin, I recommend eating it as soon as it is on the table. I love Aburi Futomaki that the basil sauce combines the flavors of other ingredients for a refreshing taste.I would highly recommend having dinner here instead of lunch, as the wagyu don and sashimi platter will only be served at dinner. I will definitely come back and try dinner as well.

After spending $450 for the dinner and they charge you $1.00 for the wasabi, would you go back again? Surprised they didn’t charge me for the extra soy sauce. It is absolutely ridiculous and petty, DEFINITELY not going back again….very poor management!

In a cuisine that already is known for its quality and presentation Yuabistro still manages to stand out. Small touches like flower petals or crispy rice bits enhance flavours and textures. Pickled plums liven up sauces. All ingredients are placed with care to create a visual feast, on top of a culinary one.I visited 1 day before flying back home, and had to come again just before my flight to experience it once more. When the staff heard we were coming back, they even built little figures out of bowls much to the delight of my kids. This restaurant makes me want to return to Victoria sooner just to eat here again.

Went with my spouse and a friend, ordered 2 beef oju box and a tendon. The freshly fried tempura in the tendon was crispy, and the sauce was great. Good for children or adults. The oju box was very pretty and included different variety of food. Was a great dish to try out all the different menus at Yua.

Really fresh fish!I came for lunch and they had lunch specials so we tried the nigeri and sashimi lunch specials. The specials were $25 and $27 respectively, so I would say the portion is smaller for the price you pay, but the food is good. When happy hour hit, we got the ahi tuna and aburi salmon, which were about $8 for a decent amount of pieces, and they were so good! I would really recommend coming for the happy hour vs. the regular lunch.

Great place for sushi. Nice, friendly staff and food was delicious. The ingredients and presentation were fresh and high quality. Lunch menu is limited, try dinner for full experience, their Aburi Oshi is recommended.

Every time I go to Yua my eyes and tastebuds are blown away as the food is not only delicious but presented so beautifully!!

BEST sushi place hands down in 30 yrs of my culinary experience.Must try the Oju box with beef tenderloin if you want a sample of everything this place has to offer. If you like fried food must get the Ten Don. I will be back 1000%

Always excellent food & service. Amazing Japanese restaurant with a bright future. 10/10 would recommend

This place is excellent. The food tastes excellent and was beautifully presented. Although there were a number of tables when we visited it must have been slow for orders at the moment we ordered because our sushi arrived less than five minutes after ordering. The venue does have limited choices for folks looking for meat or vegetarian options. Recognize sushi usually involves fish but it is always nice to have some options of chicken or a few different types of veggie rolls in case someone in your party is picky. That being said it is clear they are committed to making awesome sushi above all else.
