Went to this place when it wasn't to busy, an I still got a bad taste. The single piece of cod was priced fair because of the inflation, but the piece I thought I would have got was not it. This was so small, I would have complained if I didn't just take my bag and drove away. The batter on the fish was gummy Aswell, like the ratio of flour, water and w.e they used was way off. Please take it back to the drawing board. The Chips were decent enough, they gave you alot to overcompensate the small pieces and the side sucked.
Usually decent (regular customer), but had a nasty little bit of fish this time. The batter wasn’t crispy, it was instead like dough.. disgusting to be honest. Fries bland and unsalted. When I can hardly finish a meal, I give it a 1/5 - it’ll be a while before I risk another meal here.
Good fish and chips, close to home!\\nI recommend. Just need to amend hours ,as I would have to rush after work or find an alternate shop!\\nCheers!!
Love this place and the owners. My roommate has been coming here for a long time and swears by it. I couldn't agree with her more! We live very close (which isn't always a good thing) and I have to stop myself from going every day of the weekend when the weather is nice. Nothing better than sharing onion rings and fish and chips on a sunny day.
The Galley never disappoints. Great old school fish n chips with amazing customer service. It’s a small thing but I really appreciated how they kept my food warm before I picked it up. Not many care that much.\\nGrab some food and hit the beach for a picnic, a day we’ll spent!
Got the halibut fish and chips and it was amazing. Perfectly cooked halibut with an crispy coating. Well worth the line. Large portion for price! Counting down the days till I can return!
Super friendly service.great experience with them and the food was awesome!! They gave us all the right stuff to go down to the ocean and enjoy our meal on such a nice day. Thank you guys and gals ???
Our spot for classic Fish \\u0026 Chips. We always get it to go and enjoy our lunch at Willows Beach which is a short 5 minute walk away.
A gem of a place. A fish and chips like you’ve never tasted. They use sourdough starter in their batter and it’s an umami delight for your tastebuds. Also- singles! Oysters, scallops, fried by the unit for a couple bucks. A MUST! Watch for tricky opening hours though (covid…).
Our favorite is the halibut and chips. Always fresh, crispy and warm. We recently tried the Neptune Burger - both deep fried and grilled - LOVED both. The bun was soft and the tarter-coleslaw dressing was delicious. Friendly and prompt service.
