My partner and I got take out this past weekend and it was HORRIBLE. The fries tasted super chalky and inedible. We paid an extra $4 to add a poutine to the wrap, and there was BARELY any gravy on the fries. The yam fries were almost undercooked and they forgot the dip that goes with them. The Caesar salad was also inedible as it had a funky smell. The staff member at the take out window was also very rude to us when we asked for a straw for our milkshake(another item they forgot). The prices are definitely not on par with what you get- which is a shame because this used to be our go to spot.
Overall, we had a very nice dining experience here. We were a family group of 6 people and we had to wait about 15 minutes to get the table. Servers were nice and friendly. Menu is nice but I wanted sausages in my order and at 12 Noon they ran out of sausages. In the middle of the statutory holiday they ran out of supplies… not good. Portioning was less. I ordered classic Benedict and it wasn’t enough for me and I was hungry after one hour again.Though food quality, presentation, and taste was good. Also, after ordering, we had to wait more than 40 minutes for our food to be served. That was poor and not pleasant. So it was a nice dining experience, just that wait time after food, quantity, and not having the choice of item in an order wasn’t good enough, hence 4 stars.
White Spot is always a great place for family dinners, they have a wide variety of choices to pick from, Kids can color here before they have their meal. They also have a good selection kids meal, and they have a children's pirate pack which is a boat with food in it. The service was great, the children really love eating here. They're also is a full license bar here so you can enjoy a beer or an alcoholic beverage.
It’s been years and I’m always content at the fact that what I expect, I get at White Spot chains. By now, it almost tastes like nostalgia. I go mainly for their beef dips because that’s just the kind of monster I am, but I know all their food tastes like home. For this particular branch, because it’s more newish, it has tons of space and big tables for groups and families. The service is always friendly - but it can get loud at times since the open floor plan kind of carries people’s voices. It’s the place to pull up with friends to share a plate of fries or a nice lunch spot with the fam. Not so much a date spot though.
Hadn't been to this location before and the family went on Mother's Day. It was beyond busy, but the staff there handled everything perfectly. We didn't wait long for a table and our server made sure we were well taken care of. Even when the food was a bit late they let us know what was going on and brought our food out the minute it was ready. I'll definitely be going back again.
Went on mother's day, was expecting a long wait. But an hour for food just seemed crazy; especially since it wasn't packed. We sat in the 'patio' and they had the heaters on full blast. Was disgustingly hot. Glad we got drinks within 20 minutes.Worst part was the food. Fries are gluten free, and in their own fryer we were told that all the oil gets filtered together... So what's the point. And worst of the worst. There was a hair in my food. Short brown and straight, no one at my table had hair like that. Let the waitress know, no apology just 'oh ok I'll take it'. Glad she took it off the bill in the end cause I would not pay for something I could not eat.
Often order through our office and it is consistently good… however last night we ordered and the burger looked and tasted like a thin patty from the grocery freezer isle, the jus for the beef dip lacked completely and the mashed potatoes were comparable to powdered in a box.A burger and a beef dip for $58 should be a bit better than it was!
Very delicious food! I highly recommend the pancakes or waffles with bacon! Also a shout out to our male waiter at 12pm. Cant remember his name but lovely lad! Light brown hair, light eyes and tall if you see him haha.
As a 30 year, weekly happy customer at White Spot, I have now decided to switch to somewhere else. I must say, I was shocked and rudely awakened after paying OVER $30.00 (tip included) for:-Cup of coffee-Legendary burger with cheese (at $1.78 extra for cheese), no extras, no sides.-One cup of soup $2.99 (even though I was already charged full price for a platter).Won't be going back there with so many other great restaurants in town!!
Tables are still spaced out. Masks and vaccine passports are required at entry. Staff are all masked.Food was excellent. The season specials offer a nice variety. The service was great. If you're coming in with a group, call ahead and book a table.
