Ordered banana waffle, I said it needs to be vegan, he said no problem. Then I get the $20.00 something waffle, only to realize that it has real dairy whipped cream all over it. When I point that out a vegan waffle can't have real cream, he said, you ordered it that way, and just turned and walked away from our table and he stayed behind counter until we left. What's the point of that, saying it's vegan and then smothering it in dairy... make your customers sick, really.Be careful when you order, even when it's acknowledged vegan. They obviously don't accept the contradiction.

The food was delicious and the best coffee it clean and delicious food

Fast food that’ll cost you $40 for two plates.Waffles are inexpensive and eggs are too, but they taste good. But the food here is more or less random ingredients shotgunned on to a waffle and fed out as quickly as possible. Is it good sure. Is it gourmet? No.Fast food is fast food ??‍♂️

There was one staff member who took our order that just spoiled the whole place. The food was ok, but this staff member made the experience very unpleasant.Giving them the benefit of the doubt, we showed up with a large group right at opening. However, other than our group of 12 , there were about 4 tables ahead of us, so it wasn't that busy. The staff member taking our order at the front was obviously unhappy that so many paying customers were lining up to eat here. It was apparent in the way we were treated that this guy just didn't want to be there. The cook was a lot more pleasant to deal with. Our food didn't take too long, but they were definitely understaffed, which I totally understand. Busy is one thing, but there's no need to be rude to customers and have an attitude towards the people that want to give you their money. At one point when we were sitting waiting for food, another couple came in the door. At this point the place was pretty full, but there were 1 or 2 empty tables. The unhappy staff member bee lined for the door and instead of greeting them pleasantly and explaining that they were a bit busy and there might be a wait, the first words out of his mouth were "its a 2 hour wait"! (throwing up two fingers towards the customer) The customer seemed confused, as there were empty tables, but the staff member repeated once again quite loudly that it would be a 2 hour wait. The couple promptly turned around and went somewhere else, understandably so. I wish I had been so lucky.I just don't understand why these people have jobs in the service industry. Maybe it was just a bad day this guy was having, but in reading through the other reviews here, it seems that this isn't the first time this guy has made a similar impression on a customer. I've been in the service industry over 15 years. Some days suck, but you put a smile on your face and treat people well.I wouldn't go back and I would not be recommending this place. I gave 2 stars because the food wasn't bad, but nothing special, and the cook who doubled as our server was quite pleasant, despite being very busy preparing and serving food. Unfortunately, the food wasn't that good to be able to overlook the service. Try somewhere else. There are many different brunch options downtown.

Exceptionally made food amazing timely service with a smile couldn't ask for anything better to bring my mom for a nice dinner treat!! 10/10

Ordered the Super Oreo waffle for takeout, the chocolate sauce and whipped cream were in small containers you had to put on an otherwise plain waffle with ice cream on it. Waffle was chewy and no better than something I could have made at home for $12.99. No thanks, for that price I could get something a lot tastier from Wannawafel.

Staff was incredibly rude, my friend asked to sit down while she waited for me (I was two minutes away), and they rudely told her “yeah but you’ll have to leave if actuall paying customers come in” for reference she was the only one in the restaurant, literally no one else was there. When they asked for my vaccine pass, they were extremely rude about it and wouldn’t take my ID, which was a student ID and I have never had anyone turn me down for. And when we asked to just get take out they said “no we aren’t doing that because of the truckers today” which makes no sense to me. I have gone in the past and will never be returning. So rude.In response to that: yes I understand that government issued ID is required, that is on me. But before I could even show them they were already acting quite rudely to my friend and I. I also don’t understand how they could’ve misunderstood and thought I wanted to make I phone call, AS I STOOD RIGHT IN FRONT OF THEM. Anyways, based on all the reviews below mine, you want to think about retraining your staff, don’t go into customer service if you can’t service customers.

Horrible Facist employees discriminating

Poor service, mediocre food. Went here at 4:36pm yesterday and was told that they were closing soon and that they were only doing take out. There was a couple still eating indoors and I saw that they close at 5:00, which was PLENTY of time to dine in. The menu is terrible, with only tiny pictures for guides and no description of the kind of waffle you are buying. We bought 1 Canadian Waffle for $15 and it was a MEDIOCRE waffle with whipped cream in a container and a tiny container of maple syrup. We thought the waffle would be decorated with at least something, or have some fruits on top. but in our take out box it was literally just a plain waffle. Way too overpriced for a single waffle with a selfishly low amount of syrup. We were already disappointed that we couldn't spend at least 5 minutes eating inside, and we were even more disappointed after paying $15 plus a $4 tip for this kind of mediocre waffle. Unfortunately I will no longer be eating here after this experience. Wannawafel is half the cost for better tasting waffles with very generous toppings.

The waffles were delicious, not the biggest fan of granny smith apples but I enjoyed them still. Only thing I would change is having a sweeter apple option and a little bit more syrup. Food and service were great.
