Unfortunately, we didn't have a good experience here tonight. Our family spent a lovely afternoon at Wittys Lagoon, and arived tired, hungry and thirsty - perfect customers. While they were nice about it, they asked us to leave because of our child after we were seated. Never heard of rules like this before, and we left tired, hungry and thirsty. With a 6 year old we would have been in and out in 45min. We will never return.
Had been a few years ago and wasn't super impressed then but decided to go back.Ordered the pretzels they were incredible.Pretzel came out shortly after we ordered however our sandwich took much longer.We Decided to share a turkey club, the fries were amazing the sandwich was mediocre at best.It was dry the bread chewey and needed more flavor and possibly a tomato.Service was good,over all not terrible.
Just had a late lunch fish and chips and they had to be the best I have ever had in a very long time. Staff was very friendly and I didn't have to wait long for my meal. I'll definitely be back. Thanks so much for excellent service.
The food was big surprise. It was amazing. Big Surprise after a long motorcycle ride. Pub is near our home and big surprise at quality of food and big back yard for lazy time after bicycle ride.
A fantastic little pub! The food we ate was all well executed and very tasty. They have a nice selection of beers to suit all tastes too. I'll be going back...often.
When people talk about hidden gems this is definitely one of them. Food is on point with favorites always on the menu and new features for you to try. The staff is always friendly and welcoming making this always feel like your local pub. Plenty of TV's to watch the game and BCLC Keno/Poker to donate to. I have frequented many pubs in the greater Victoria area and go out of my way to visit the Rose. 10/10, see you there!
Excellent service and the most delicious food. Friday night at 6:30 it was a full house so we had a bit of a long wait but in the end we were seated and our drink orders were fulfilled promptly , followed by our food.I ordered the fish and chips and it was the best battered fish I have eaten in a long time…not to mention the delicious onion rings that my daughter ordered along with her famous Rose burger. All good, and we’ll be back every Friday!
Enjoyed a lovely dinner and evening at The Rose Pub. The food was tasty and the beers went down nicely but what really impressed us the most was the warmth and sincerity in the service. Thank you to Hope and to Hollis (I believe that was you) for making us feel very welcome and we are grateful. Looking forward to our next visit!
The manager was calling me names for sticking up for my transgender friend after she personally attacked and discriminated them in front of the whole restaurant. She didn’t even have the audacity to bring them in a quiet place. Just put them on blast in front of EVERYONE. She thought she was 110% in the right and it honestly just made me uncomfortable and sad to see someone treat a person that way. It’s 2022….and if you should be able to identify freely without being talked down to for it.I will never go back to this business again!Full of a bunch of people that are okay and happy to discriminate people :(…
Highly recommend this local for its excellent service and food. Best burger and fries in the area! The grass patio is a relaxing summer venue.
