The bands that play at The Loft are good but the venue is extremely small and the music is WAY WAY TOO LOUD. People with hearing aids are significantly hurt. Also the venue is very warm, so not a good place to be on a warm day. Food is absolutely the worse, so don’t go for the food; enjoy the music if you can take the risk of going deaf!
BEWARE!!! The girl running the show in this restaurant will rip you off when she has a chance. Our first encounter was to get takeout which included a house salad. When I got the receipt I noticed there was no house salad but a Chef Salad which was $7.00 more than the house. She told me this is their house salad, but it was $7.00 more. The Chef was $16.00 and the house was $9.00 on the menu. She said that's the way it is and left. Great way to treat people.
The bill was all messed up. Make sure you check the whole receipt before paying. Seems in my opinion, they do this on purpose hoping you won't check the bill closely. After all most people are just passing thru. We were there for three nights and used the restaurant two times, and it happened both times we had dinner there. Hmmmmm? Be careful!
They have a server Randy who can't hold herself worst service I've ever had so many better places in Victoria to go....
Great food & live music, location and atmosphere - dirty dive bar fantastic...However the server Randy was too distracted to serve us.... Literally said " there's so many other bars in the city " to go to (!!??)Wanted to celebrate Canada day with friends....guess they don't need the money (!!??)SUPER waste of time and energy folks. Good luck guys/gals in this economy when you shut down neighbors trying to connect.
Great place for music, don’t expect a lot from the food selection.
Only had a beer! Atmosphere seemed ok. They had a bad setting up so it was probably not the best time to go
A fun atmosphere to enjoy live music. The service was friendly, helpful, & attentive. Some good beers on tap & we enjoyed roast beef & Yorkshire pudding. It’s not fancy and there’s not much extra space. It’s a good idea to reserve a table to avoid disappointment.
Fabulous place for brew and music. Rhythm Train an excellent choice for a house band excellent tunes!!!
Lovely place with a character. Very friendly staff. You will love it there. Ambience feels like chilling at home.P.S. Food is okayish. I would not recommend veggie pizza, nachos or spicy wings. Also, Avoid the cocktails; you might be disappointed.
