Group of 4, we were seated then a waitress said she had to take a half table and I moved. The table was put beside ours, another group came in and they sat down and the waitress gave them the half table, which they didn’t even use.My drink was forgotten for over 40 minutes, until I asked for it again. When it came, it was wrong. Took over an hour to get our food, which arrived cold, congealed and hard.Our waitress was kind and tried to fix the drink after we were done eating and removed it from the bill. She did not listen to our requests on other drinks, offering us more wine, we said no but she poured more into the glasses anyway and when we asked for more water, it never came. She was present physically but seemed distracted. I was really disappointed with this experience. It was my first time here, and I will not be back.

Really hard to go wrong with this pub, it is a great place that has a nice drink selection, and the food is always good. Tried the chicken strips here, upon a recommendation and they did not disappoint! incredible sauce! Good service! Will definitely be back.
Such a wonderful place to have brunch and drinks. On Sunny’s days it’s definitely the spot to bring your pets and have a great meal! Staff were friendly and the atmosphere was great! Can’t wait to come back to the island to have this experience again!
Love that we can bring our dog on the patio, and you provide a water bowl and dog bed! ? Food was delicious too ? We will be frequenting The Fernwood for sure.
Very nice pub. And busy 4 of us stopped by for a bite but had to sit outside. It was cold and their heater/fire ran out of fuel and they didn’t not refill. Brrr! Food was good. Orders of soup, meze, burgers we all good. The burger was a bit dry though. Service was friendly and quick. Pub is very nice inside, and can see why it’s busy. Great beer and cocktail list. Will definitely try again.
On the way out of the washroom past the kitchen on a slow mid-afternoon today, I ran into two staff who did not wait for me to clear the tight walkway space but instead pushed themselves past me, much too close for social distancing, while engaged in merry conversation and seemingly not conscious of their responsibly to give the right of way to a customer already exiting. Not cool. What a surprise when one of them turned out to be my server. I mentioned to her why I had hesitated and engaged with them visually expecting them to wait for me to clear the passage before pushing past me themselves and when there was no recognition of what I was referring to, the response was "oh yes, that is a tight area"...which was MY point and ought to have registered that it was all the more important for them to have waited until I cleared the passage way first, given safe-distancing is still a thing. Things went from bad to worse then, a subtle retaliation for my comments and when I did not order another glass on their schedule, I was proceeded to be ignored and denied service until I had to ask the host to get my waiter to bring another glass, the waiter prioritizing trays of drinks to other tables as business picked up. I noticed the attention promised on the menu to highest regard for safety re covid on the menu, but that was not a reflection of my experience. Never subjecting myself again to this establishment when immature, vindictive staff with personal issues disregard policy, put my health and safety at risk and employ poor service standards to retaliate when their negligent behaviour is brought to their attention. Who do they think they are?
Stumbled across this gem off the beaten path on route to pick up a book at a used bookstore, and I'm really glad we did!! The historic charm of the building and neighbourhood is immediate. With street and retractable canopy outdoor seating, and indoor restaurant and bar places to sit, there are plenty of options to enjoy a beverage and a bite to eat. The food was great as was the service!
Came here on a Friday night for dinner with my pup. Sat on the patio and was protected from all the wind which was nice. The menu was a bit small considering the place was big. All the servers were still wearing masks which I loved.
We visited on a Friday afternoon around 2:00. It was not very busy, but the place was well staffed and our server was incredible.We just had drinks, one person ordered an app and a dessert.We had a great visit.
