After living in China for 10 years, we appreciate getting authentic Chinese dishes in Canada. The Cozy Place is where you can get them. We had Stir fry eggplant, potato and green pepper (which was my favourite in China), sauteed pork belly / pepper and chili, fish fragrant eggplant (don't worry, no fish involved) and The Cozy Place Chow Mein. These dishes took us back to China! Scott and Amy were great hosts as well as cooks. We would definitely recommend The Cozy Place and will be back soon!
We ate there with my partner at one of our lowest times, and The Cozy Place comforted us with delicious food and motivated us for life. Thank you for such amazing food and leftovers made our following day :)) So, if you are looking for delicious food with vegetarian options, The Cozy place is for you. We love veggie chow mein and kung pao tofu :))

It is extremely hard to find a good Chinese fusion restaurant in Victoria that is not bland or cooked to meet the general palate. This restaurant could not have been more tastier. The flavors and spices were perfect, this Mom & Pap operation is run modestly and their passion translates into the rich flavorful dishes they put out. I had the eggplant, tender braised short ribs, sweet n sour boneless, chicken fried rice and garlic shrimp rolls. I can’t wait to go back and try other dishes. Feel free to ask for more spice if you’re so inclined but everything was cooked perfectly.

Beware of takeout wait times. What they tell you on the phone is not accurate. I was told my food would be ready in 20 minutes, I got there and was told it would be another 15 minutes, I waited and then when I went up to the counter and they said it won't be ready for another 15 minutes... I ended up waiting 1 HOUR for a small rice and one chow mien. They only had 3 tables. I get they had other online orders, like mine, but then be up front when I placed the order so I can make a judgement call if I want to actually wait an hour instead of 20 minutes. They didn't even offer a discount or spring rolls for the extra wait time which was 3x what I was promised. Very poor customer service. Will not be coming back
My first time here. I had shrimp spring rolls, Ribs in black vinegar sause and salt and pepper squid tentacles. The restaurant is clean and truly cozy and the couple who run it are very nice. The food was delicious.
Absolutely amazing vegan options. The Kung pao was some best tofu I’ve ever had.
