We were visiting the area and we’re excited to try the Green Elephant with all the good reviews. We order the pad Thai, red curry, and coconut rice. All of the dishes were underwhelming and under flavored compared to previous Thai restaurants we’ve tried. The pad that was quite pale in color which feels like an indication of lack of sauce/spice. The red curry was also quite pale compared to other red curries we’ve had. It didn’t come with any rice which every other Thai restaurant seems to include with curries. And the coconut rice didn’t taste much like coconut.The flavors are right but they don’t add nearly enough. They seem to be cheating out and cutting corners.
Did it get new owners? Thai Green Elephant used to be the best Thai food in Victoria but our last 2 orders were NOT good... bland, few Thai spices. We thought it was just a bad night the second to last visit but having a bad second batch strikes them off our list. Very disappointing, not looking forward to finding a new go-to place in Victoria!
It was nice. The service was prompt and delightful. Amazing food. I think the price was a bit much but thats to be expected under our current situation.
Nice cozy restaurant. Satay Chicken is very good as well as Noodles.. We ordered extra spicy and it was perfect. Nice welcoming staff and lots like a family run business too. Recommended..

I was very disappointed with the portion. The fish dish is $ 21.95 but only 5 small pieces in there. It used to be one of the best Thai restaurants in Victoria. Not anymore ?
Food is good, but not special by any means. Looking at the many 5 star ratings, I am not sure what people's standards are nowadays. Staff is very friendly.
