Went to Tacofino - WOW!! This place has the best tacos I've ever had in my life! I got the Fish, Tuna and Chicken tacos and I was not disappointed. Taste, portion and presentation beats anything else in Victoria!! They have Dino Sour stone fruit on tap and I gotta say it really complimented that to-die-for meal.I only gave 2 stars as the kitchen REALLY could use a clean. I understand it's super busy all the time but that kitchen needs an entire scrub down, then a plan to keep it clean.The staff were awesome! The service was great, the hostess and other workers were very nice. Great atmosphere and all around amazing place. I will be returning - Hopefully the kitchen gets some attention after this.-Will update when I visit again next month, and amend the star rating / comment :)

Vegetarians will LOVE the yam tacos. I could eat those all day! Portion sizes were generous and the tacos came loaded just how I love them.We will return again!
The praise for Tacofino menu needs no specific affirmations from my end. They are hands down amazing.The restaurant is clean and well decorated.WAITING TIME can be crazy even for takeouts ( expect 1 hour wait time over weekends).TIP:They take orders over the phone so you should order over the phone before you go in person to pick your order to avoid waiting longer.But avoid weekend evenings to eat here as sometimes the staff doesn't pick the call as they are already overbooked for in house and take out orders.l understand its not a good customer service practice but nevertheless it's what l experienced myself and decided to share with you folks?Must try from Tacofino:-Fish Taco :Too good.Cladsic dish and a must try.Well stuffed. Filling and super yummy.- Fish Burrito : Well made,tasty?,perfect amount of the filling to make you happy.- Chicken Burrito ?: Nice one to try if you want to have something other than fish ?.

Holy smokes these were delicious tacos!I got the tuna taco and the yam taco.The server recommended getting two and said it's the perfect amount, she was right! They were bigger than I expected as well!The flavors of each taco were so different and amazing in their own way.The restaurant is small and filled up very quickly for lunchtime and it was on a Tuesday, I can imagine a wait here on the weekends.Food was quick and so fresh!I will 100% be back and recommend this place to anyone visiting the area!
I started going to TacoFino when it was a truck in a empty dirt parking lot outside Tofino. It was magical then and it still is. I have tried other menu items but I just keep coming back to the Tuna Taco. It is so well balanced that I eat things I swear I don’t like on any other meal and love them on this simple but delicious taco. I take friends there to impress them with the taste of the west coast. Today my friend called the restaurant fancy and trendy, and I guess you could make that point, but for me it will always have the heart of a food truck that the locals and the surfers would share with the rest of us if we didn’t mind a little dust or mud depending on the weather. This place is a treasure and we are all lucky to share it. The menu has expanded but everything is still made with love.
Awesome place, both the fish and the crispy chicken burritos were really good. However the glasses I was given with the water bottle were not clean, I had to ask for clean glasses but the girls that work here are super nice!
By far the best fish tacos I have ever had. I went here for lunch on a Friday afternoon and experienced great food and fast and friendly service. If you are in the greater Victoria area this place is a must go.
So all I was told was I had to go to Tacofino. Tried to go to the one in Tofino but the lineup was always huge. So tried this location for takeout. It was quick and it was quite good but I wouldn’t say it’s a must try.
The tacos were bigger than I expected. I tried three types (probably too many, but how do you stop at two tacos?) And all three were very nice. They were also very different flavour experiences from each other.
