Decent food, terrible service. Server not only ignored me to lean on the wall to scroll her phone, she also missed one of my food items and didn’t quality check.

Big fan of this place, however my takeout orders recently have been about 50/50 regarding them forgetting something I’ve been charged for or giving me something different than what I’ve ordered… hope you guys figure this out, because otherwise I’ll have to take my business elsewhere though I’d rather not.

Decided to try this place out for takeout as it was the only sushi place in my area that was open around 8pm on a Sunday. I found 2 hairs either eyelashes or nose hairs on one of my rolls. I would have called and complained but by the time I got home and started eating it was 9 and they were closed. Will not be back.

please forget about COVID19 and how we don't want to spread germs but basic sanitary practices would be nice, like sushi chef it is appreciated you assisting with order and cleaning table, however i didn't notice you washing your hands after, and even if you did, what happened to using gloves while making sushi it look horrible from a customer point of view the rice was stuck on your palms in passingknowing cost of food supply had give up and the price has not i still have to give them a poor review , just look at the amount of rice in the bento box. i would have preferred no rice, or charge more, wondering if this even a teaspoon with three pieces of what is supposed to be teriyaki chicken (never knew it was deep fried, wouldn't this be katsu ?)the sashimi temperature warm and so incredibly thin almost see through. before i could request two miso or substituted more rice even though more than now, but this last trip nope only salad no changes.tea well yes i got a cup when sat down but no refills even asking twice. food was salty and with even one sushi chef i must say 35 minutes for a bento and roll at lunch is so unreasonable especially when he was sloppy the rolls fall apart when picked up to eat. not to mention that i had to wait ten minutes for a tablegyoza in the bento was premade, because it tasted rubbery hard and cold, but was cooked.the women's bathroom floor was slippery and oily felt they used same mop in kitchen and facilities. parking in the rear only one spot on side of the dispensers and i was told can't park there from some old guy monitoring parking lot, although no signage and was told park in next plaza for 30 minutes limit but to food took longer than allowed time to be served, I was kind of concerned would get a ticket, so maybe it was good reason why portions are smallso much disappointment with this restaurant on this last visit they used to be so good but it get worst each time. i don't think i will be returning anytime soon especially of hygiene reasons.

Sushi Island used to be great. A combination of good sushi and good prices. Over the past few years, however, the quality of the sushi has noticeably declined and the prices have risen. The food is does not taste as fresh as it used to and the portion sizes seem to have decreased. Whereas in the past I might have rated this restaurant at 4 stars they have fallen harshly from grace.

Fish is always very fresh here. Good miso, good rice, good noodles! The staff are also very kind and accommodating, and strike a good balance of being attentive without stopping by too often.

Absolutely obsessed with the ‘Cali Bento Box’ great portions for the price, amazing taste, and just all around good food!! Highly recommend ?

Great prices for good portion sizes. The bento boxes are a really good deal. Friendly and helpful staff. Parking can be a bit tricky as it's mostly side street parking. But worth the effort.

Meh, not impressed for $39.99I got party tray A. The salmon skin on the BC roll was nasty. There was a lot of filler with the Cali and dynamite rolls. The rolls are way to wide too, makes it difficult to eat in one bite. I should have just ordered rice and nigiri instead. $39.99 is a bit much for all the rice and filler I got.I usually go to a different place for sushi but that place was closed at the time. I'll be more patient in the future.

food was mediocre and smaller ? compared to previous experience, but they didn't increase price so gave them one star, the second star is for effort of the one server during pandemic, but to be the first customers in the door at 11:30am and was unable to order food until 12pm not to mention no refill of tea is a little too much when other staff behind sushi bat was chit chatting, we didn't leave until 1pm and we ordered three bento lunch boxes. another table of six left after no service for 15minutes trying get attention of the server who had to answer phone etc ? it difficult for everyone during pandemic but when I witnessed two orders for pick up out the door before I got my order sitting down and we the first in the restaurant ........
