We had good service, tasteless food. Pork gyoza bland, tuna tataki unremarkable, tempura batter good, but had tempura 2 shrimp, 2 pieces of fish, the fish pieces were only pieces of batter tail with no substance of meat, terrible! To top it off we found out there was suspicions of a gas leak on the property for 1/2 hour and no one told us. We noticed they were turning away people.so we left in a hurry worried about our safety

Been one loyal patron since 2007. This honorable Victoria restaurant presents decades of chef qualities in discipline and strive to deliver excellent cuisine. Exemplified in nigiri and sashimi, fresh and coordinated. Dish presentation has always been outstanding. Knowledgeable and friendly waiters and waitresses bring the dining experience to next level.

A moment of sen...Truly good food is not only an occasion to make memories, but brings back old ones. The food here transported me back to my childhood to some of my grandmother's food moments. More specifically with the tamago and shiso.Tamago, sweet egg, was done perfectly. Biting into it is suppose to be an experience with layers... litterally. As the egg cooks increasing number of folds is made. By gentle pan frying they are able to maintain a sweetness and suppleness to the egg. That finds itself between these layers. It doesn't taste fried, it doesn't tast eggy, it doesn't taste like custard. It tastes uniquely right.Shiso distinquishes restaurants that are actually trying to be Japanese. This herbaceous leaf unique to Japan paired so well with the rice and sashimi.Speaking of which the rice had a wonderful gummy texture. It's vinegar supported the oils of the sashimi.I can't find any complaint with the sashimi. All were like principles in a show. They complemented each other and were distinct. I think the pictures exemplify the experience.A unique distinction with Sen is that they provide grated ginger. I haven't seen this before. It provides a unique experience.

This restaurant is out of this world. The food is amazing, easily the best sushi in the city, with pretty reasonable prices. The staff are absolutely lovely people. They are friendly, attentive, but not intrusive. The restaurant itself is pretty roomy, with lots of interesting decor. I have nothing bad to say and everything good to say about Sen zushi

Sen sushi on Fort in Victoria is the best by far, delicate and well balanced flavor all over the menu our only regret is to find this jewel of flavor too late because sadly moving away from the area, been there 3 days in a row still impressed with the tasty food, great atmosphere and service, my husband and I going back again tonight for our last meal in Victoria. Bravo to a great team to make this place a very special culinary experience. .

We had a great experience at this sushi restaurant. Sashimi was so fresh and delicious. All rolls were very well made and a good selection to choose from. The servers were friendly and informative. If you want to see the sushi being made ask to sit in the back area.A touch pricey but well worth it

Hands down this was the very best sushi I've ever had! The fish was so incredibly fresh, tender, and flavourful. I had the chirashi don and while on the pricier side ($35) it could easily feed 2 people. The coconut ice cream was a perfect way to end the meal. Great atmosphere, great service, and truly outstanding food. 10/10, would go back in a heartbeat!

This was recommended to us by the concierge of the hotel we were staying when we asked for a japanese restaurant. It’s a bit pricier than the normal japanese place but everything was good and love that they have specials like Sake creme brulee that is a japanese twist of the traditional dessert.

Great service, cute place and the food was delicious. They had a lot of unique specials and while some of them didn't sound too enticing they were actually great. Their spicy tuna roll was fantastic. Best I've had.

Fantastic. Love the food, favorite sushi in town. Aji Fry is to die for. All the staples you would expect. The sushi bar is a little strange as it's so traditional, but it's very cool to watch your food being rolled. Can't recommend enough.Edit: went again this weekend. Everything still on point. Absolutely great place to eat.
