Rebar is an institution after 30+ years and still one of best restaurants in town. So glad they survived COVID! Had lunch there today for the first time in a while and was happy to see that many of their classics are still on the menu. I'm not a vegetarian but love the quality and freshness of the food here. My favourites are enchiladas, almond burger, noodle bowl and juices from the juice bar. Service was great, and the pricing is very reasonable considering the size of the portions. I rarely give 5 stars on anything but Rebar deserves it.
Wow, this place rocks with the Rockfish. The wife had the blackened rockfish sandwich with a gluten-free bun, a rare delight for her. I had the rockfish tacos (corn tortillas) and we both loved it. It’s a must for lunch, especially if you’re lactose intolerant and/or gluten-free
Visited for dinner and the almond burger was delicious. Staff were friendly and efficient. Could have chosen from many great menu items. Will be back in the future.
One of the best veggie burgers I have ever had. The almond burger was incredible! And so was the masala hummus
My daughter and I enjoyed a lunch here on a recent trip to Victoria. She ordered the Almond burger and I ordered the Blackened Rockfish burger. We both chose potato wedges as our side. We were both happy with our choices although neither of us could finish our whole plate!
Rebar has excellent food and very friendly service - definitely go eat here if you’re in town. Every time I visit Victoria it’s on my must-do list. My favourite dishes are the soups & the vegan Reuben sandwich, but honestly every dish on the menu I’ve had is delicious and high quality. If you like tasty food and a relaxed atmosphere you can’t go wrong with Rebar. They have lots of vegan and vegetarian options as well. The desserts are also great. They have a lovely outdoor patio in a pedestrian-only walkway, which is so much nicer than sitting beside traffic. The servers are top-notch too. Overall highly recommend!
Fantastic meal. I had the 3 sisters enchiladas and they were terrific. One of the best meals I’ve ever had.The gent who took our order was super friendly. He remembered my kids names and addressed them personally when bringing their meals. A nice touch to the service we received.This place should be WAY busier!Folks stand in line 2+ hours at different places and receive inferior food. Hit these guys up and you will NOT be disappointed.

Had lunch twice this week plus take out for supper and all were great meals. Generous portions (Almond burger, Monk’s Curry, Super Bowl), very fresh. Friendly and welcoming staff, nice outdoor seating on quiet street away from crowds. We will absolutely come back!
We have been going to Rebar for decades. It always had great food, a lively vibrant vibe, lineup out the door, and friendly outgoing wait staff. We hadn’t been for a couple of years and didn’t realize it had sold, so when we went last week for a group birthday celebration expecting that fun vibe and we were extremely disappointed. The place was drab and empty, the staff were low energy. It was somewhat depressing. They’re still working with the original menu, so the food was decent, but overall our experience was disappointing. The heart and soul of Rebar is gone. I can no longer recommend this restaurant.
