As a Vietnamese person and rarely go out to eat Vietnamese food myself I decided to go to Pho Tru and the food was amazing! But unfortunately it could t get my mind off the ride merchant (Crystal) apparently she’s a manager which makes it worse. She treated me with so much disrespect that it just ruined my whole afternoon. Her attitude before I even said hello and just her body language which made me not even want to choose the place to eat. I really hope something is done so I can come back one day.

I ordered take out from this place while visiting the West Coast. The service was fantastic. Staff makes great recommendations as I had the pork vermicelli and crispy spring rolls. Both were delicious and portions were filling. It's a hidden gem in Victoria.

I have ordered from this place off of Uber eats more times than I can count and have always had fantastic food and never any problems. Last night I thought “why not go check it out in person?” I walked in and was greeted right away, there was 1 other person dining at the time, I went up and ordered at the counter, sat down and waited for my food. While waiting I noticed 3 flies flying around the room as well as a few dead ones on the floor. Oh well, it happens. What I couldn’t believe was the staff. They were quite literally chasing each other around the kitchen/dining area. Laughing, joking, screaming. I’m all for having fun at work but that was just a bit too much and incredibly unprofessional in my opinion. I highly recommend having a chat with the 2 young ladies who were behaving in such a manner. My original plan was to sit down, have some delicious food and read my book but that was near impossible with the staffs behaviour. I ended up eating about 1/3 of my food and getting a to go container.

Had dinner there with my wife, her sister and my brother in law. The food was excellent. Having lived in Vancouver BC for the last 34 years, I have eaten in numerous Vietnamese restaurants there and I must say that the food at Pho Tru stands among the top 10 for sure. The owner “Bobby” was also very service oriented and provided excellent service. Would strongly recommend this restaurant for anyone wanting very good Vietnamese food that is priced very reasonably and won’t make a hole in your wallet!!

Would highly recommend the spicy beef lemongrass pho! It was a perfect balance of flavours with a generous serving of beef. The restaurant and service is exactly as they advertise, looking to recapture the casual, street food experience that comes with Vietnamese food. All in all an excellent place to stop for a quick, cheap, hearty meal

If I had to summarize my review in two words, I'd say "it's ok". I've eaten a lot of Pho after living in Vancouver for over 40 years so this place didn't compare or hit the mark for me. I had the regular sized #62. Outside of there being no atmosphere, it doesn't look very clean inside, and I have to order my food at a counter, the soup broth was not that hot and it lacked flavour. The one positive for me was that meat was decent. Overall tho, I would not recommend this restaurant and will not be back.

One of the only places currently in Victoria to get a delicious bowl of Sate soup. You can SATE any soup on the menu. Is it amazing! Yes. But the best part is that they're still tinkering with the recipe and every time I go in, I swear it gets better every time. Great place, great staff, I just had a bowl and one of their crispy rolls and I want to go back for midnightsies.

Got the phö veggie, chicken broth is delicious, added rare beef. It was very good, but would preferbeef on side cause it cooks too fast in the soup. Other than that the veggies ewe perfectly lightly cooked, the noodles were perfect too. Missed the Thai basil and sprouts this time tho

You come for the food and it's delicious! This is the best Vietnamese food that my husband and I have tried outside of Vietnam. We ordered the Pork Spring Rolls, Steak & Brisket Pho & Grilled Pork Vermicelli Bowl. While the ambience is very basic, the food is outstanding. There were employees preparing spring rolls sitting at the table next to us; to say that the rolls were fresh is an understatement. They were perfectly fried, crispy and not too oily, and the nuoc cham dipping sauce was on point too. The pho had an excellent broth and all of the ingredients were perfect. The grilled pork in the noodle bowl tasted charbroiled which added a nice flavour and the veggies were crunchy and fresh. Those 3 dishes with a tip came to $35. What a wonderful experience at a very reasonable price. We will be back!
