The food was good. I tried 3 dishes off their happy hour menu. Two pictured below: crab cake and duck wings. Both good, the menu describes the sauces differently, but they're both the same.Place got crowded fast, waiters and waitresses were fine.
Great service. Server did mentioned for my appy hour's Ocean 11 they ran out of mussels so I was fine with the 5 jumbo prawns and the 1lbs of clams they proposed (usually it's ½ lb clams ½ mussels 5 jumbo prawns for $29) plus the added fettuccine for $5. The portions were so generous I had to take the rest to go or else I'd be sitting all night in the restaurant picking away instead of exploring downtown on a Canada Day long weekend. The drip coffee ☕ was as good as my work colleague recommended. All this for under $40 before tips.Been to this place intermittently for over 2 decades (with deadbeat ex-boyfriends where I always have to pay exorbitant dinner bills; trend of picking jobless guys with no shame & bottomless pits for appetites ?), but always nice ambiance, decent service, and wonderful food, this place usually does not disappoint.
Tightly run establishment that was go go go from the time we got there till we left. Obvious why, though… this place is great from top to bottom. Our server was Janice… Food amazing, atmosphere high paced yet casually fun, and that whole ‘extra mile’ attitude is their mission statement in action. Young girl accidentally left her retainer on the table and realized it shortly after leaving. They returned to see about finding it and staff painstakingly went through every possible place it could be and found it in not so pleasant circumstances. Man what an experience… never been in a restaurant with such an intense and dynamic service. You’ve got to see. And food is more then Awesome
I can’t even describe in words how amazing and unique this restaurant is. It’s a hidden gem as a tourist since we just stumbled across it when we saw a lineup outside. The atmosphere inside with a live band is incredible and the food is so good! So happy with the vegan options! The vegan broker dish was my fave and the Pagliacci’s sour (made vegan) was amazing! Hands down one of best restaurants in Victoria, let alone Canada! So much character and good energy can’t recommend enough
This was such a gem to find in the heart of beautiful Victoria. The food was beyond spectacular, all the staff was friendly and great at their jobs. Highly recommend anyone coming for great Italian food. Any wait is worth it. Take the server’s recommendation and you will will rewarded.
There was a bit of a line up outside. A few people didn't make the cut and left early. Silly them, the food and service was top notch. The care, love and attention to detail and overall quality control really showed through in the food. Also live music was a cherry on top.
Best Restaurant we came to for this Victoria weekend trip. The servers were fantastic and friendly. They gave great recommendations and directed us to desert. Both of the kids were happy with their food and loved the restaurant. That’s not easy to please both. My daughter had the in the night kitchen which is an Edam grilled cheese. My son had the cloudy with a chance of meatball, which is spaghetti with meatballs. I had the surf and turf.. steak, shrimp, and I asked for meat sauce on my pasta that came with it. My wife had the Sophia, a mix of seafood with pasta. We would come back here for the great ambiance. We got here right at five and were glad we did. When we got out there was a lineup of about 30 people.
This place is the best restaurant ever!!! I went for lunch with my family today and the bread&pasta were sublime?The waiter was so nice and food was so good that extra tips are necessary! Sad that I don’t get to come to Victoria often... hope I’ll be able to come back and eat it soon:)
Amazing food, awesome service, very sweet host! If I lived in Victoria, this would be my go-to for Italian. We went on St. Patty's Day, and although they were INSANELY busy, our server nailed every single little detail and never skipped a beat. As an ex-server myself, I was nowhere near as efficient and impressive as our server here this night.Our dishes were all great, and mine specifically (The Doors of Perception pasta) was one of the best dishes I've ever had. The truffle cream sauce was outstanding and every mushroom I ate was more addicting than the last.I'll be back, 100%!
