This is my neighborhood pub and we always go there. But... Last week I took my friend there and it was his first time so I was very happy to introduce one of my favorite restaurants to him... We ordered a bottle of prosecco. That was cold and tasty.. We ordered the Korean Cauliflower and salt & pepper chicken wings with bluecheese and Thai sweet sauce. The drama started there :) Korean Cauliflower was mushy not crispy, the sauce was too much and it made the Cauliflower like a puree. Salt and pepper wings was tasteless. I had to ask for real salt and pepper to add. There was literally no salt or pepper. Thai sweet, was so funny. I don't know the reason but they put sourcream in the sauce! Bluecheese sauce had no blue cheese in it. :) I had to send them back thinking they brought the wrong sauces and asked the waitress to bring a regular Thai sweet without sourcream in it. She brought another blue cheese sauce but it was the same. Long story short, we left most of the food on our plates, finished the prosecco and went somewhere else for dinner. I don't think I will go again for food. That was a sad experience.
McRae’s is a great spot for some laid back dining and drinks. Relaxed atmosphere, friendly service and a decent selection of food and drinks. A good place to catch a sports game or to grab a few drinks and apples with friends.
First time here after a decade of wandering by. Came for trivia night and was treated to a great wings Wednesday as well. Beer specials are well priced, as is the rest of their menu. Staff was great and friendly. Will be back for sure. It is on the loud side though.
This place was really jumpin! Had the pulled pork sandwich it was really tasty. Good service and a fun atmosphere, cheers!
Good local beer selection, and appies, burgers and salads. Staff were friendly. Nice patios on a warm day.
Awesome lil place. I've been here heaps.. mainly cause its close to my pals, but I'm not giving this review 5 stars just for that. It's a great place with good vibes and yummy food and drink
Ordered a garlic and mushrooms burger, sub veggie patty, with a side of chips and salsa. Service was prompt and good with follow ups. Would have been better with a beer but I was working after so maybe next time.
Masks dont protect against covid / viruses. Read the box label. Average hole in mask is 500 microns, aerosols about 60 microns and viruses less than 1 micron. It's like trying to stop rain with a chain link fence. Grow up and follow the science, not political talking points.
A few new items on the menu and they were all devine, great portions for price. Toffee cake was so good I almost got one to take home. Comforting environment.
i came here last weekend and got my usual order of the mac n cheese. it comes out and the garlic bread isn’t even garlic bread. it’s just 2 pieces of regular bread plain. and the mac n cheese tasted very bland and had no flavour. i come here at least once a month and the food is always really good, so i was very disappointed this time when the mac n cheese tasted completely different.
