Friendly service, great food. Word to the wise - Pho doesn't travel very well, so if you order it to go or via Skip, it's not going to be great.
I am fairly new to Vietnamese food and I tend to get slightly overwhelmed when trying to order. The gentleman at the front desk first asked if I had any allergies, then made a few suggestions. I ordered the rare beef pho and it was very flavourful and overall very delicious. The prices are a bit more expensive than other Vietnamese restaurants; however, I would say that the prices are fair considering the quality of the food.
Needs way more flavour more spice more herbs more authenticity, it's all just very bland, unfortunately doesn't have any of the amazing complex flavours you normally equate with Vietnamese cuisine, just boring
Ordered $56 at Le Pho on Fort St left a small tip of 4$ it was pick up! Im sorry to leave this review unfortunately small portions and hardly any sprouts or peppers one big piece of cilantro not many noodles it was actually the worst take out pho ive ever seen. Was absolutely pathetic...So i didn't even call in to complain I'll never order again felt ripped off!
Had a very bad experience. I would rate the service 1 out of 5 stars. The food is about a 3 out of 5. It's meh. Green Leaf Bistro Is highly recommended. The food and service is much much better!I was told to wait outside in the cold wet rain after I made an order for take-out and the restaurant was very empty. I don't understand that policy. Any paying customer should be able to wait inside for their meal. I asked politely if I could sit down, but was told "no, you have to wait outside". Very bad service. I do not recommend. As mentioned: Green Leaf Bistro on Douglas St. Is 100% better! :)
They make their delivery drivers stand outside for no reason. I saw one guy stand out there for 10 minutes in the cold. They told him it was because of covid regulations but thats a lie because they have never done this before during all of covid previously. They said they needed to see his vaccine card which he tried to show them but they immediately didn't care and didn't even bother to look. I can't believe they treat the people working for them like dogs. I will be ordering elsewhere from now on.
It was mediocre beef pho, but did the job. The noodles had an odd chewyness to them that I not accustomed to. The broth lacked a little body. There is only one size option. I was the first one in for lunch, as soon as the doors opened; I went to the washroom, where there was a large trash bin filled to the brim. I was surprised that it had not been emptied, which makes me think the washrooms were not maintained from the previous day. Hope that was the only thing not maintained...
Great place to stop for lunch.
Has potential to be good but fell short. I tried their largest Vietnamese submarine in town $9 cold cuts (assorted) and Vietnamese style ice coffee $4.The banh mi was dry and disappointing. The bread tasted a day too old and in need of a bit of Maggie sauce and more liver patty. The cold cuts and preserve vegetables were good. 2/5 ⭐⭐The Vietnamese style ice coffee was good. The coffee and condensed milk along with the ice pass the taste test. 4/5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐My friend ordered the banh mi and agreed with me with how we felt. His papaya salad was okay not the worst or best he had elsewhere. The decore looks homie and welcoming. I believe the owner server us and he was friendly and quick. I think if they worked on adding a little more flavor, spices, seasonings and the little details to their food. This could be a great place to go but right now it's passable and okay.
Sat down for lunch and had a great meal. Soups and salad rolls were fresh and very good. There was just two tables sat and most of the business was take out. Very clean inside on a busy corner. We parked in the grocery store parking lot close to the intersection. Will definitely go back.
