Service: Our server was friendly and attentive. Our water glasses were always filled and our server checked in on us at all the right times. Our plates were cleared promptly and overall service was great. Food: food was good, we had the calamari which was delicious - so tender and the sauce was great and the polenta was delicious. we had the filet steak which was cooked perfectly and quite flavorful and moist. Vibe: The atmosphere inside was nice, I liked the low lighting and the decor for an old Italian feel. We were seated in the back at a two person table fit snugly in between a heat lamp and a fire exit door - little bit of an odd spot. Appreciate that they could find a table for us walk ins, with very little wait even when no resos showed as available online. Overall a good experience - would try the pasta next time.

We had dinner there on Friday night and it was wonderful from beginning to end. The decor and ambience are true to Italian and the food was DELICIOUS. Our server Kara made our dinner and evening very special. She was so knowledgeable with answers to our many questions regarding different dishes and was spot on with her descriptions. We have dined in many fine restaurants and she provided the kind of service one would expect and over and above. We shared the warm goat cheese salad which was wonderful and we had the halibut with the blackberry sauce which was different and so tasty. My husband had the Chicken Appolonia and it was equally beautifully prepared (chicken breast was a tiny bit tough) but it did not spoil the dish. The dessert, wine everything was perfect and I cant wait til next time we are in Victoria to go there again. You do need to make a reservation well ahead as they are so busy it is hard to get one. We lucked out. I hope if you get you get looked after by Kara as she truly was the best!

Unfortunatley the restaurant was not up to its usual standards. We have raved about our many earlier visits but tonight was not one to boast about. We noticed that the initial bread served with the tapenade both of which were usually so great, was under baked, more like a sandwich bread , not a major issue but things did not improve as our mains were generally under seasoned, we both chose the mixed grill but they both lacked seasoning , especially the duck confit. Our server was not very present, she took our drink orders and returned to take the food order but generally disappeared after that, only once did she do a pass to see if we got our meals , even as we finished and she brought the bill and took payment but failed to inquire how everything was, her support staff on the other hand was excellent and proffered salt and pepper when requested, anyway the night was a disappointing way to celebrate our anniversary.

My wife was in the mood for an Italian dish, so we found this gem by pure chance. On arrival it was buzzing. The service was excellent from the word go. Received good advice from our waiter when choosing our order. My wife had a vegetarian aubergine dish, I had rare tuna on spaghetti. Both were well presented and delicious. Everything we had there was. In summary, great atmosphere, great food, great service. Unlike a lot of other places, there were lots of staff on duty. Prices were very reasonable, particularly the wine. Excellent service from our waiter Carson throughout the evening.

We have been to Il Terrazzo everytime we come and visit Victoria. The food and atmosphere are amazing. They have a great variety of many choices on the menu and everything we had was superb. The drinks are also perfect. It is always totally packed and booked out so we recommend booking in advance. We highly recommend it and we will keep coming back!

Would love to transplant this Italian restaurant to San Francisco! We knew when the home made bread came with the olive tapenade that we were in the right place! I hardly ever eat a-lot of salad but the one I ordered I couldn’t stop eating! My husband had the rack of lamb and it was done to perfection! I had the Pasta Pomodora with fillet mignon was to die for! Finished with a Line cheese cake for my birthday! We will be back someday!

Given the ranking we were expecting something special but left disappointed. We had hardly sat down before we were being asked for our order. A few minutes later the same happened again. Feeling a bit under pressure we placed our order for both food and drink. Wine was ordered by the glass and came in a small carafe which was sloshed into the glass leaving dribbles across the table - no apology. The same happened with the water later. All a bit slapdash. Starters were ok but mains were more "never mind the quality feel the width". We left feeling that the Restaurant survives more on the atmosphere/ambiance than the quality of food and service.

We walked in on the off chance of a table. They were full but I think took pity on our travel weary teens and found us a table as long as we were quick. Service was warm and attentive. Food was very good indeed. Highly recommended, thank you.

Had the pleasure of squeezing in a reservation at what I sincerely believe to be THE ABSOLUTE MOST AMAZING restaurant in all Victoria…!!! ??? Not only is the food absolutely delicious and beyond what you would hope for in terms of authentic Italian quality and outbid this world deeeeellliiissshhhous, but the beautiful ambience, the happy and positive energy and spectacular staff just add so much more to a wonderful and memorable dining experience! Tonight I sat at the bar and had the pleasure of being served by Carson who had awesome positive energy, fun banter and made the most amazing recommendations exceeding all my expectations for an awesome dining experience. Carson is truly a gift to this establishment and really resonates in terms of sharing with their customers how they are so focussed in exceeding all guests expectations with respect to a dining experience…! I had a fantastic meal, a ton of fun talking to Carson and honestly can’t wait yo come back. See photos attached of a couple of menu items that were over the top spectacular including the tomato soup and pasta…

Authentic as well as inventive Italian cuisine, deserving of it’s recognition as #1 best in Victoria. The ambiance is a cool redesign of a large old hotel with private nooks and fireplaces, located in a tucked away quiet alley. Kaylie, our server, was so exceptional with her professionalism, efficiency, and friendliness. Extensive wine list (appreciated by my husband who works in Napa). Reservations a must! Cin Cin, Salute!
