Me and my friend have been here once before and had a wonderful experience but our service in the restaurant today was not pleasant at all. Super rude staff.
Have been there for breakfast and dinner few times. Great food and awesome service, staff is very helpful to accommodate special dietary requirements. Do enjoy some cocktails in there patio :)
Had a perfect stay at this hotel. The restaurant was a amazing add on for my stay as it served the best breakfast and dinner. The service was great. Had an fantastic experience.
Wow wow wow. The food and drinks were perfection. We haven't had a meal like this in years. Every detail was well thought out and executed. The only slip up was my husband got truffle aioli with his hot wings instead of blue cheese. He didn't even notice, but I did. He claims it was still delicious! We come here often for events (Marriott) but haven't frequented the restaurant. We'll make the trip into town for this again, for sure!
M Club lounge was closed at Victoria Marriott Inner Harbour during our 2 nights stay. We were provided breakfast at Fire & Water Restaurant located within the hotel. The staff recommended “Crab Cake Eggs Benedict.” We both went with her recommendation. Wow, she was on point! Rich, tasty and melt in your mouth. Hubby loved it so much he ordered it again the next morning. The next morning I ordered “All Canadian breakfast” as I love scrambled eggs and chose rye bread, bacon and substituted potatoes with fruit.I have to say the staff is amazing - attentive, genuine and down-to-earth.Great breakfast to fuel us for the day full with walking. We ended up needing to walk off the wonderful meal along the harbour. Not a bad start to a day, eh!
We went for the Dine Around menu and had the prawn and avocado salads and duck confit for our appetizers and both were full of flavour. The celeriac purée and well seasoned prawns had a perfectly balanced spread of flavour. We had the ling-cod and prawn entree which they accommodated by making the risotto vegan! The short ribs entree portion was overly generous, with a hearty au jus that made all the flavours come together. Very impressed with the menu!
The ambience in this place is deceiving -it looks inviting and the waitresses are very nice and friendly but we were disappointed in how long everything took to get from the order stage to the actual dining stage. Perhaps the fish were not biting that evening and avoided being caught since my sockeye salmon took 50 minutes to appear on plate in front of me. And. my partners mussels were equally long in arrival. All joking aside, the place was not exactly overcrowded so the inordinate delay was inexcusable. The salmon was a bit on the dry side and a bit overcooked. the menu described that it was to be accompanied by scallops. In fact there were exactly two scallops which were tasty albeit a bit on the cool side. We had expected a much better meal for the price so had to rate this place as merely average all things considered.
We had a wonderful meal at Fire and Water during Dine Around 2022, a really good deal at $50 for a three course meal. The short rib main course was beautifully cooked, and was presented glazed with au jus over asparagus and potato mash. Super salad and desserts as well. I appreciated their willingness to sub in sorbet for my dessert, as the dessert offerings contained ingredients I avoid. Our waiter knew his wines and recommended a much better one than we chose. We appreciated his gentle and informed suggestions. All in all, a wonderful find in a restaurant and we will go back. Along with lovely food, they offered really good service and their systems seemed well-tuned.
Ha e been a few times. The ambiance is lovely. Patio in the summer is great, large, not right on a busy street.Service is good. Food is good. Bit more on the pricey side. Happy hour is ok...5 ounce wine for happy hour though...meh??!!
Had a wonderful and delicious New Year’s Eve meal while staying at the Marriott. Service was excellent, the appetizers, entree and desserts were delicious and it had a beautiful ambiance. It was so fun just going down the elevator and having a lovely meal, a bottle of Prosecco and to then take the elevator back up to your room without worrying about finding a taxi.
