I purchased the Fernwood wholebean medium roast.I drink my coffee black because I’d like to enjoy the taste of the coffee. It was among the worst coffee I’ve ever had in my life it was better sour when I ground up the beans They were dry like sawdust there’s no oil on the beans whatsoever. The smell is deceiving it smells good in the bag taste terrible in the cup. Very disappointing I’d like to support local business I’ve had better coffee out of a hospital vending machine

I liked the scone (ginger/honey) I ordered, but the coffee was too small for the $2.75 I paid. Like any popular business this establishment suffers from its own success: the interior was crowded with no seating available, details like knife, butter and plate were not offered (specifically ordered est-in), the decor was missing and the interior was much too cold and drafty (from the door constantly being opened). Service was friendly and prompt, but even Starbucks offers a better relaxed environment to enjoy a cafe experience. Too trendy for its own good?!
The coffee is some of the best coffee in Victoria. I've never had a bad coffee here. The sticky buns (grilled, of course) are to die for! They have a great selection of milk alternatives for those who cannot or prefer not to have dairy milk.
Great local coffee, great service. The breakfast bagels here are phenomenal. The only issue is the lines that go out the door on weekends, and the amount of noisy children. Like get outta here, damn hipster breeders.
