Best vegan burger I ever ate in my life. All the options are incredibly good. My favorite is the fire burger. They also have other invincible foods like the jack fruit bbq poutine!

Love this spot!! Great food and pastries and coffee :) so nice to have a vegan spot in Victoria. Definitely check it out!

When I first moved here to Vic I think every single person recommended me to check out Fern! I haven’t been back since they opened their indoor dining but their take-away service at their window was super efficient and covid-friendly! I appreciate all the creativity they bring to vegan options!!(pictured: poutine, mac n cheese and pumpkin spiced latte)

10/10 would go again.Got the breakfast scramble, potatoes were fire.Partner got big breakfast sandwich, and as an omni liked it a lot.Coffees were bombStaff had the good good vibes, and read my mind on the sweetness level of my mocha,Home made whip was straight crack, not overly sweet, just velvety goodnessCaesar was p good tooTY

I had heard so many good things about Fern and was finally able to get down into Victoria and check it out. It did not disappoint! I wanted to order everything since everything is vegan but decided on a the Buffalo Chickun Burger. I didn't want it too spicy so they swapped in some barbeque sauce and garlic aioli! I upgraded the side to the poutine as well! Everything was fantastic! I ordered the mac and cheese to go and a couple HUGE cinnamon rolls, which was all tasty as well! Hopefully I can get back here to try some new eats in the near future. Thank you for the great food, great personality and helping out our furry friends.

So impressed!! I ordered an 8oz oat milk latte and a cinnamon bun and both were 100! Coffee was some of the best I’ve had in Victoria and the cinnamon bun was perfect; not too sweet, nicely cinnamony, very brioche-like and even the icing was noticeably delicious. Fair prices as well. Can’t wait to go back! So good to finally have an all vegan place in town!

So. Freaking. Good. I stopped by for lunch with a girlfriend of mine who is a regular and did not leave disappointed! As someone who doesn’t eat meat for moral reasons, one of the things I missed most was a good chicken sandwich, and man I found it. I think this may sway my non-vegan hubby as well (slowly but surely!)The texture bang on and flavour was delicious. I had a side of Caesar salad, which was crunchy and tasty as well. Not to mention the brownie and latte for desert, drool. The owner clearly takes such pride in creating and serving delicious, ethical food options and considering the price of good ingredients, and portion size it’s good value.I will be back soon, and can’t wait to try more of the menu.

Discovered Fern Cafe while visiting a friend in Victoria and we absolutely loved it! The tofu scramble was so tasty and the dessert/pastry items are so fab - the peach rhubarb crumble was my favourite. So great to be able to support local all-vegan places. Thank you!!

Stopped by for some treats before heading back to vancouver. This place was friendly and very popular. The pastries are also not what they seem! More enjoyable than expected.

It was my last morning with the rental car and happened to be in the neighbourhood. The staff was pleasant and accommodating, filling my water in my own bottle. I saw this same tactic repeated for people who order coffee in their own mug. This is encouraging to a sustainable future. I ordered the tofu breakfast sandwich, knowing that there is not a single bad item on the menu. The sandwich was delicious and filling. The side potatoes were a welcomed complement to the significant sandwich. Admittedly, the vegan butter tart was pure indulgence. Appreciating a long time classic. Fern Bakery is worth stopping at if you are in Fernwood. In fact, if you are anywhere on the island, you should fit Fern Bakery into your trip.
