While we have had good food in the past, our recent experience has changed our opinion and we won’t eat here or order from here again. After calling for take out, my husband was placed on hold for over ten minutes. He attempted to call back multiple times and no one bothered to answer. He then ordered online. When we arrived to pick up our pizza, we were told it would be another 5 minutes. Not a big deal at alll. But 5 stretched to ten, and then 15, all while being ignored by staff. When we spoke to the manager, he had only excuses for the incredibly poor service and showed zero care for regular customers. It’s such a shame, when the tourists leave after the summer, you’ll have only locals like us to support your business and we’ll Be gone.
I was looking for a happy hour venue in the early afternoon, with dozens to choose from. Based on the ultimateVictoria happyhours website, I wanted to try some of their advertised specials.After being seated I asked for a happy hour menu and I was told that they don't do happy hour. I ordered regardless to give the restaurant a try since I was already here.They were a few tables of the 60+ seat venue that were occupied and they only had one server on and an assistant to service the entire restaurant.My sandwich and salad took quite a long time to arrive. While I waited I confirmed on their website that they in fact DO offer happy hour AND daily specials, for the specific location (address verified) I went to. Upon asking the person delivering the food (who turned out to be the GM/owner?) about why I wasn't told of or offered any of these menus he replied that he chose not to offer any of these services with no particular reason why.I told him the specific reason I decided to come here today was because of the current information available online and had I had known, I wouldn't have come. I would have rather visited for dinner another day.Also the Negroni I ordered specifically said on the menu "comes with a large cube" and it came with regular cubed ice.I told him that they may want to do something about their false advertising.The sandwich was overloaded with ranch dressing (mayonnaise) and the Caesar salad had many pieces of lettuce that were past their acceptable serving date.I will not be back.
A nice quiet restaurant close to downtown Victoria.Good choices on the menu. Good friendly service.I tried their Margarita pizza. It was good.
My God. What a disaster. We visited the restaurant on Sunday (Father's Day). Place was busy, but not jampacked. When we arrived, we waited probably 10-15 minutes before we were even acknowledged by staff. In that time we watched servers bumble around in confusion, there are two tables with food, two tables waiting to be cleaned & cleared of empty dishes, and the rest are all waiting on food. In that time we got the distinct feeling that this wasn't going to go well and we should probably bail. We should have listened to instinct, but with 2 hungry kids decided to wait and give the place the benefit of doubt. Fast forward - took over an hour to get our food. We ordered a salad, some wings, and pizza. All pretty much arrived at once. Wings were rubbery, pizza was mediocre at best, staff didn’t know what sodas they had for the kids. At one point, before we even ordered, the server - clearly distressed and out of her depth - literally said to us "We don't know what we're doing". Hardly confidence-inspiring. It was quite clear that other diners were getting fed up too. In the end our bill was wrong too. We don't wish ill-will against the place - we know it's a tough business - but Famoso isn't going to survive the summer at this rate, and we definitely won't be back.
Ordered pasta, Ceasar salad and wings. Food delivered cold, chicken wings not cooked properly (still blood in center), and pasta came with no sauce. When called on the dry pasta they just offered a discount at next order...without as much as an apology. Salad was tasty though. I must say, this place did not meet expectations and I will not recommend this restaurant.
I have no idea what was going on when I visited but 45 minutes to get me eight chicken wings is pretty slow. It’s worse when they are average, over priced and don’t even come with a “sorry for the wait”. The service given was as if they were doing us a favour. Truly disappointing
Disappointing today. Haven't been in since the pandemic. Called in an order. 2 pizzas. Got there to pick it up and they only had one prepared/on the bill. Wait for them to make the second, now one is cold, get home and one is made wrong (missing ingredients) and the other is burnt. Not quite worth the 45min round trip.
Service is the problem. Didn't get our drinks for 15 minutes, pizza was lost and then when payong bill we asked 3 different people working there to pay. It took anptjer 10 minutes, ans they couldn't give change on cash, we gave up and rhey got a $4 tip for bring slow, disorganized and honestly confused about what there job was. Got the pizza after all that, jusy okay. Definitely will not go back.

We came with our two young kids because we’d read the restaurant gives out dough to play with. At first the server seemed confused when we brought it up, but then it turns out they had stopped during Covid but are doing it again yay! The kids were super happy and played with their own balls of dough through dinner. The food itself is good, no complaints. It’s not an artisan pizza place or something but we were fine with that. Would totally recommend for families.
