i have never eaten here but i was sitting outside at one of the patio tables and saw literal mice inside, about 4 ran when i sat down at the table. i tried to get a video but it was dark and they didn't come out again. whoever works here please check for mice if you didn't already know you have a mice problem!
OMG, this place rocks. Sure, most of us love a pastry from Tims when we're on the go, but if you have time to sit and enjoy the atmosphere, these guys are making something more special.
Likely the best donuts in the city, interesting and diverse flavors. Never tried their breakfast sandwiches so I can't comment. Arrive early as they run out.

Not bad? Definitely not great either. Some creative and interesting flavours that work which I will give them credit for. Would have rated higher but thing that really bothers me is being asked if I wanted to tip.Having a tip option on the machine is one thing, but asking customers if they want to leave a tip while entering the price on the Interac machine is another. (Covid precautions?) It pressures people to leave a tip when they otherwise wouldn't have. Sorry, but I'm getting a donut to go, not a scenario where a tip is appropriate.
This is the 2nd time now. They advertise there will be no tax with the purchase of 6 donuts. I ordered more than 6 but got charged full amount with tax.Full tax with 6 donuts or more. Ask for a receipt and make sure you get charged properly. They are stealing your money.
THESE DONUTS ARE UNFORGETTABLE. Walking distance from down town this unassuming donut shop is a must stop for anyone with a sweet tooth. Tried the classic glazed and the cookies and creams, both were incredible. I have to rate this place 5/5 for the amazing donuts even though the individual who took our order was incredibly rude and rushed us through our ordering process despite us being the only customers in the shop.
If bad and rude customer service is part of empire donuts branding then they are exceeding.It shouldn’t be an unpleasant experience to pick up donuts in the morning. But down at empire donuts you can do just that!Seriously though why are you guys so unhappy and rude you’re surrounded by donuts !
Unbelievably rude staff, hyper paranoid, if you are not wearing a mask (mandates have been lifted) they are extra rude. Signs says 2 GROUPS at a time, a mom, dad & stroller count as 2 groups apparently. Donuts are decent but not good enough to continue supporting this local business, not a true reflection of the amazing community cook street village is. boooo empire donuts.
I heckn love doughnuts! And I especially love Empire Donuts! The chocolate sour cream is my favorite but I can without a doubt say I haven't had one I don't like. The jelly stuffed are my ultimate favorites and boy does Empire do an AMAZING stuffy!!! ? Mel doesn't mess around with her doughnuts. Always fun flavors. Never too sweet. Staff are so welcoming and friendly! 15/10 would recommend ?
