Best sushi in Victoria. All ingredients are top quality with a Noticeable difference in taste and freshness. Small place with a good atmosphere. Experienced chef staff. Highly recommend

Can’t comment on the quality of their food, but their service was terrible enough for me to leave a google review. Was greeted by a question asking how many people (which I answered 3), immediately followed by a comment “long wait!”. When I asked politely about the expected wait time, I was replied with another disgruntled answer “don’t know. but they (3 nice ladies ahead of us) were here first” then just walked away.

The sashimi melts like butter....if you love sashimi go here...NOW.This is a small place and very popular. Use Google to see when it is busiest if you are not keen to wait. My only negative is during warm weather it can be a bit warm.

The staff was all nice and it was super busy when we walked in. The food was good, especially the vegetable tempura, but even after the restaurant was no longer busy it took way longer than it should have to get our sushi. There was almost a 45 minute gap between our tempura and the sushi. Besides that everything else was great.

Far and away the best sushi in Victoria! The menu selection, quality of ingredients, and attention to detail at Ebizo never fails to impress me. The handmade nigiri and buttery smooth sashimi is out of this world. There are also more exotic dishes for the adventurous types - only place I've been to in Victoria that has 'natto' on the menu!A great date night spot, Ebizo is within walking distance of most of the attractions in downtown Vic. Built into a heritage building in the heart of Old Town, this place is cozy, with the right balance of traditional and casual. It does tend to fill up fairly quickly so make sure to arrive early.Pros:+Delicious food+Excellent quality+Great selection+Fairly priced+Good date night atmosphereCons:n/a

I honestly think 3 stars is really generous. I had high hopes based on the past reviews, but its not that good. You need to make a reservation since it's not that big, and the service is slow and indifferent at best. I think we waited for more than 45 minutes for our food and it didn't arrive at the same time. Im thinking take out orders were given priority. The sushi was fine, but the rice was cold. The salmon and new york steak teriyaki were also just okay and served almost western style. The beef noddle soup was bland and didnt taste like anything. Honestly, there are better Japanese restaurants nearby, so please avoid this one.

Ebizo was within easy walking distance of our hotel on the Victoria waterfront. The restaurant was easy enough to find, and was a small comfortable size. The staff were very polite and attentive. The itamae worked their craft behind a small sushi bar. The menu was straightforward and simple, with nigiri, sashimi, maki/uramaki, and bowls (udon/ramen, chirashi). The fish was wonderfully fresh. Reasonably priced. The restaurant had a "local favorite" vibe with what appeared to be a number of regular customers interacting with the staff. Great to see as the 5th Covid wave passes over the country.

I was looking for a great sushi restaurant but instead I ended up here. :(This is what they call beef teriyaki and it was $20 a plate! It came with miso soup and rice but I didn't eat anything but the vegetables. At least the waiter took it off the bill.I would NOT try this one again

If I could rate it 10 out of 10 or 100 out of 100 I would. The quality of the sushi is top notch along with the sushi chefs who do an amazing job. The team at Ebizo always makes you feel welcome and part of the family.

Always good foodI ordered veggie temp tuna and spicy salmon avo rollTuna roll was the best of all threeTempura batter was thin and crispy but smelled old oil
