I came here with my family and we had an amazing meal. It has been one of the standouts of our trip. We had the prawn sushi tacos, Mother Earth bowl and Santa Fe salad. They were all absolutely delicious. The service was also excellent and we had a very friendly and charming waiter. Would definitely come again if ever back in Victoria.

Everything was excellent, great food, service and atmosphere

Food and service are ok but noise level deafening (more than 90 dB). Impossible to talk with friends at the same table

Im vegan so I love all your plant based options! Thankyou for that.

Everyone was prompt charming and competent, but the $24 crab cake, singular, was about 35% vegetables (red onion, corn, sweet peppers and some bean thing) with prawn and some crab. If you know what crab cakes are and enjoy them, do not, do not order this; it is a kind of cake with some crab in it, but it is hardly a crab cake and certainly a rip off.

Walked by Earls when a seafood platter was being served - it looked so good we decided to return for dinner. After a 15min wait for a table, we ordered 2 glasses of wine, and asked for water and ordered 2 chowders to start and our much anticipated seafood platter. A more senior server arrived at our table to inform us the kitchen had run out of the platter and the wine, but did offer alternatives for the wine. After all this time waiting, we decided to stay, and ordered alternate main courses and wine. Still had to ask for water to be brought to the table! We were disappointed but it’s how a business handles a problem that makes all the difference and in this case it was handled well. We were not charged for the wine (which was very generous of them) and apologies were offered. It was a Monday of a busy long weekend. The meals we ate were good, the chunky clam chowder tasty. Garlic prawn spaghettini delicious. The crispy prawn sushi taco was presented well and an unusual tasty small meal. We recommend this restaurant when in Victoria.

TL;DR: forgetful server with hair cooked into the food I would like to start off by saying our waiter seemed like a wonderful person and I truly think he was just having an off night/table as he seemed very friendly and all his other tables seemed to be happy and attended to. But that was just not our experience. About 15 minutes after placing a drink order he apologized for the long wait and assured us that our food wouldn't be too much longer. The only issue is he had forgotten to come back and we had yet to even order food. We placed a food order as well as a second drink order. After about 10 minutes he informs us that our food is almost ready and asks if we would like a second round. We awkwardly said yes as we had already placed an order with him. We went up right afterwards realizing we had just ordered an identical round and not our original second drink order. Turns out the bar was out of canned Guinness so maybe the bar had cancelled the order and forgot to communicate it? The food arrived and all seemed well. On chicken strip 5 of 6, we discovered a hair. The hair has been fried with the chicken strip as it even had some breading on it. He apologized profusely and offered to replace the meal or take it off the bill. We opted for it to be removed. We requested the bill and when the server arrived he informed us he also took care of the pop as he was sorry for the service and everything. But the chicken strips were still on the bill and when a coworker had come to collect the payment for him we had to awkwardly point it out and received a new bill. The manager nor chef felt the need to come out and apologize for the fact that hair that had been cooked into my food. This has ALWAYS been our experience when anything has gone horribly wrong in the past at Earl's or any other restaurant for that manner. It's really no wonder that the server was so all over the place considering how little the management team seems to care at the Victoria location.

Earls is a lovely restaurant, food is very tasty, staff are friendly. Alcohol is expensive, enjoy 😀

Everything was great except the ribs came with a warm potato salad and coleslaw that were really creamy and with the saucy ribs it was too much. My plate was like soup. The desserts and service were amazing

Thank you so much for taking care of the 12 of us. It was a staff party so many of us were high spirits. The staff were flexible, the food and drinks were amazing and where we were seated was a separate little room. It was completely worth it.
