The burger was so sub par I asked the waitress if they were made with frozen patties. She said no - but really, if you want a burger, you'd be better off making it at home! Also, the nacho "cheese" has a reputation for being bad.Service was excellent!
I am a regular customer so this review is in no way downplaying Darcy’s ?I usually order chicken burgers etc always good BUT today I ordered nachos ?.The new version of nachos isn’t good.The cheese sauce ? that’s ontop is not a good idea unless it’s drizzled I’d say but it’s dumped on like a big blob of gravy which made them so soggy and then so much regular shredded that’s all you taste.Barely any ground beef.I’d suggest switching back to regular grated cheese. No cheese sauce ??.I was asked if wanted to take leftovers home ? Definitely not, it’d be hot mess, more than it was.Would not order nachos there again.. AND they’re $28 + $5 beef = $33? (plus $5 for guacamole).Love food otherwise??
I ordered the fish and chips and there was triple the batter to fish. It just tasted like oil and the oil was pooling in the container. I had a whole containers worth of batter left over after I picked out the five or so bites of actual fish it contained. The other food was just ok but very salty. I don't think I will eat here again.
We’ve been coming here for years for good food. My wife does not eat meat, but Darcy’s always had great vegetarian options. Not sure if Darcy’s have a new chef, but he or she is definitely not a vegetarian. The tofu burger was uneatable. Do better! This is a new age, where vegetarians should have options. After we returned the burger, the best they could offer was 25% off that burger. We spend a lot of money every time we go there, and $5 off the uneatable burger is not worth our return.Deep fried pickle is now pickle chips, and burgers are now served on a superstore buns. How is this better?
Love the food, but I make you this offer.If you bring back the Schnitzel Burger, I’ll make another google account and give you another 5 stars.Also the gravy for the poutine used to be a little on the eh side, but now, it’s great! Don’t know if I changed or the recipe did, but I dig it now :)
I went to Darcy's Westshore for the first time a couple of weeks ago for Wednesday Wing Night. It was busy, but the service was still good. The wings were great. I will for sure go back.
went for a cute girls lunch here as we've done lots. didn't realize the menu changed, and thought the nachos were safe. when we got them, there was no cheese in sight.. but goo that they call four cheese sauce. . nasty. politely went to send it back, and the manager informed us it would be a large income loss, and that she coululd offer 40 percent off. so we just asked for them back at that point. the kids might as well eat it. she went to grab them but said that they were thrown out. she then said that we need to learn to read the menus.. yikes. while I appreciated it getting taken off the bill but ,as regular customers and fellow small business owners ourselves it was pretty baffling to be talk3r to as a customer that way. make sure the manager and the waitresses know the menu before you go at customers...
A friend and I stopped in for a beer and appetizers. We were approached by a couple young girls and guys wanting to take a group pictures with an old camera for some kind of project they were doing. Shortly after that we had two doorman asking us to come outside to talk because the one of the girls told them we supposedly touch her butt. We told them if there was a problem then call the police and we would discuss with them. The doorman left us alone and we finished our drinks and went elsewhere. They wanted money. The bartenders supposedly didn't know what was going on but could have been in on the scam. Stay far away from this place..
Ordered for pick up and this is what the Poutine looked like. While I appreciate that the gravy was on the side so the fries didn't get soggy, the amount of cheese is laughable.
Went to Darcy’s pub Langford tonight with a group of 10. Had a terrible experience. Server was rude and didn’t pay any attention to us. We could barely get her attention. We had to walk across the restaurant and find her to order anything. She was very distant and very rude when we asked for the bill. Shoved her hand in my face. Would not recommend at all. We will never be back. Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone ever.
