Everything I have here is always excellent. The cafe lattes, the smoothies, the soups, the breakfast bennies, the dessert selection. It has something for everyone from sweet to savory. Best to come when hungry. Staff is attentive and go the extra mile.But don't come here. Please. I like this place.
Amazing breakfast and lunch spot! My first go around I had the Clubhouse Chicken Sandwich and the Mennonite Sausage with Eggs Benedict the second. Both times were a treat and an experience on their own. Definitely coming back here when I am in town again.Thanks Cherry!
Worst service I’ve ever received. First we were ignored while standing at the door for over 5 minutes, by the owner cherry herself who ducked her head while walking by without even a “hello”. After we were awkwardly greeted and seated, it took over FOURTY minutes to get just the drinks themselves (which weren’t even made correctly, and we had to re-tell them the order a few times to get it right). The place appeared to be understaffed and poorly run; the servers even looked to be on the brink of crying while serving. After over 70 minutes of waiting we received our food which was admittedly hot and delicious. We were understanding with the staff throughout as they were friendly and apologetic, but I can’t help but feel utterly disappointed with this whole experience. The food is reliably good, but it’s not worth the slow, dreaded service that is continually delivered to the customers here.
The Hollandaise on my Florentine Benny was the real deal ? Another touch I appreciated was the rosemary in the fresh pan fries. ??
Breakfast for two: $40ishPositive: large breakfast selection, good quantity amount of food (compared to the village), while maintaining deliciousness. Interior was homestead like, spacious and not cramp. Service was excellent.Negative: noneFood for thought: come early to get better seats. Place get busy quick, so be patient because of limited number of staff. I highly recommend their breakfast pierogies.
The owners were great, the place was so busy, but they figured out how to squeeze us in and get our order started. There are lots of great choices on this menu. I had the eggs Benny with avocado, bacon, and brie. It was delicious. The potatoes were really nicely done, too. Herbs and green onions complimented the pan-fried hashbrowns. I wish I lived closer as I'd definitely go back and try other menu choices.
This was my go to spot for the breakfast sandwich as their Chipotle mayo is great. A few years ago I got a sandwich to go on a bagel and when I bit into the bagel is was completely moldy. I went back in and they remade it, though the owners comment was "the next one will be on me." I thought wow no refund and there won't be a next time.But I decided to give them another go. I called in to place an order for two meals. The gal that was trying to help me did not know the menu or their computer system at all and someone else, who I believe was the owner/manager had to take over the phone to help me. I do understand it was a busy Saturday.When I arrived at the restaurant and it was pure chaos. Everyone that came in was not even being acknowledged. I finally was able to get someone's attention to ask if my order was ready. I waited about another 20mins before getting my food. I decided to check the meals at my car and one of them was wrong. I went back and instead of waiting for a whole new meal I decided to just get the missing items on the side.Here's to say I will not be giving this restaurant a third try. While waiting for my food another couple was being comped their meal, so I can only assume their experience wasn't great either.
I attempted to enter and have a breakfast (alone) this morning. I was asked if anybody else is going to join me. After telling him that it will be just me this time I was pointed to a small table in the middle of the room. I asked if I could sit by the window instead. The answer was no. There was no more than two other people in one of the tables in the entire area. I asked politely again if I may sit closer to windows instead (due to my age my eyesight is not so good anymore) The answer was again no. He said that they will get busy later on. My only option after that was to leave and never return because I felt not as a welcomed guest.
I have been going here for years and the service and food have always been wonderful. It’s clear that the owner cares about everything from a fantastic drink when you’re on the run, to the whole experience of sitting-in. Food is amazing, drinks are amazing (especially cappuccino or London fog), and the service has always been very friendly (and almost always by the same people which is nice).Thanks for years of awesome food and drink!
