I went for dinner with my wife at 5:30pm and was looking fwd to calamari and steak. I was very disappointed to see that Calamari has been removed from the menu. I ordered a steak but was told they didn't have any 8oz cuts left and was told that I could upgrade to a larger cut or a fillet but no offer to reduce the extra cost. The food that we ordered was good but prices have increased dramatically. We don't think we will go back.
Disappointed. The Burger had the thinnest patty! It tasted mostly of pickle and tomato no meat taste!Also had the Rob’s Crispy Chicken sandwich… it also tasted of pickle mostly. The price was over $20. The wine is now only 5 and 8 oz, same cost as before when it was 6 &9 oz. Went to Bard and Banker this weekend, and they had a double patty for same price .., it was very good. Not going to Cactus again! Much better places to go around town! We used to recommend… not now !
Honestly I just really enjoy the chicken lettuce wraps here. While they being called szechuan doesn't make me think of the flavors of Sichuan, the lettuce wraps are very tasty none the less. The Staff was nice and fun and usual, and the atmosphere was good. I'm happy to say the joke in my friend group of cactus club having really nice, spacious, comfortable bathrooms remains a reality. All in all fun experience, nice bar food, fun atmosphere.
I would recommend Cactus Club in most locations and this is no exception. The waitress did miss they way we wanted our Steaks to be cooked and we had to wait for another 20 minutes while everyone else was eating their food. But she did offer salads and fries to accommodate. At the end they offered desserts and didn't charge us for the 2 steaks that were cooked wrong. The foods were delicious and were presented very good.They have changed a bad experience to an amazing one. Would definitely come back when I'm back in Victoria.
Disappointed with changes to regular menu food.Used to love the ribs offered here. Even had them not even a week and a half ago. Ordered some tonight and ... different. These ribs used to literally fall off the bone and were delicious. The ribs tonight are leathery tough, hard to pull off the bone, and have considerable gristle. In comparison, the way they used to be there would be no meat at all left on the bone. I had thought they were overcooked but the bones and look/shape etc is all just different. Looks like they chose to use different ribs .. in other words, inferior quality.Shame. I enjoyed the ribs here, but will be going elsewhere if this is how things are going to be. Don't pay this much for store level rib quality.
Came here with some friends and has a great time. Cassandra was my server and she was amazing! So friendly and answered all my dumb questions about the menu. All around great experience with great staff.
Eating at Cactus club for 20+ years but tonight the ribs were just cheap (grizzle, etc) looked like the chef bought a cheaper brand ..... couldn't finish. The quality of food did not represent the cost (and we always spend 100+ .
Casual bar-restaurant with a good atmosphere. Enjoyed the wings and then salad bowls and poke bowls. Menu has a wide range of items. Tasted good and a few different beers on tap too.
I had never been here until now! Emma was our waitress and the menu had nothing I really wanted, I had asked for pineapple and she went above and beyond to get me the meal I wanted. The menu has been slightly condensed dud to covid as most places have, however cactus club really does try to accommodate your needs and it is worth it! Is also the average price for a dine in restaraunt.
Went on Saturday Jan 10 2022Very professionalThe front desk girl did NOT use her cell phone ! WOW. Waiter was good. he was from whistler and not too bad. He would catch his mistakes and fix right away. Hunter chicken was great. wife loved her salmon. we are fairly picky. way better than Earls. A little better then moxies. better than keg. 90 bucks for two people but well worth it. would come again. nice drinks. wife had a beleni I had diet coke which was refilled and cold and fizzy. they are pro here but not too up tight.
